你們若不聽這話，我必因你們的驕傲在暗地哭泣；我眼必痛哭流淚，因為耶和華的羣眾被擄去了。

所以我說：你們轉眼不看我，我要痛哭。不要因我眾民的毀滅，就竭力安慰我。

我民哪，應當腰束麻布，滾在灰中。你要悲傷，如喪獨生子痛痛哭號，因為滅命的要忽然臨到我們。

我眼中流淚，以致失明；我的心腸擾亂，肝膽塗地，都因我眾民遭毀滅，又因孩童和吃奶的在城內街上發昏。

我的眼淚下流成河，因為他們不守你的律法。

先知說：因我百姓的損傷，我也受了損傷。我哀痛，驚惶將我抓住。在基列豈沒有乳香呢？在那裏豈沒有醫生呢？我百姓為何不得痊癒呢？

因此，我要為西比瑪的葡萄樹哀哭，與雅謝人哀哭一樣。希實本、以利亞利啊，我要以眼淚澆灌你；因為有交戰吶喊的聲音臨到你夏天的果子，並你收割的莊稼。

人子啊，你要歎息，在他們眼前彎着腰，苦苦地歎息。他們問你說：『為何歎息呢？』你就說：『因為有風聲、災禍要來。人心都必消化，手都發軟，精神衰敗，膝弱如水。看哪，這災禍臨近，必然成就。這是主耶和華說的。』」

你要將這話對他們說：願我眼淚汪汪，晝夜不息，因為我百姓受了裂口破壞的大傷。

我晝夜以眼淚當飲食；人不住地對我說：你的神在哪裏呢？

錫安民的心哀求主。錫安的城牆啊，願你流淚如河，晝夜不息；願你眼中的瞳人淚流不止。夜間，每逢交更的時候要起來呼喊，在主面前傾心如水。你的孩童在各市口上受餓發昏；你要為他們的性命向主舉手禱告。

因我眾民遭的毀滅，我就眼淚下流如河。我的眼多多流淚，總不止息，

我的肺腑啊，我的肺腑啊，我心疼痛！我心在我裏面煩躁不安。我不能靜默不言，因為我已經聽見角聲和打仗的喊聲。
