『你要將這一切話告訴他們，雖則他們不聽從；你要呼喚他們，儘管他們不應；

爾將告以斯言、惟彼不聽、爾將呼之、惟彼不應、

上帝告先知曰、爾雖有命、民不聽從、爾雖招徠、民不應命。

爾耶利米以此言告之、彼仍不聽爾、爾招之來、彼仍不應爾、

“ When you tell them all this, they will not listen to you; when you call to them, they will not answer.

“ Jeremiah, when you tell them all this, they will not listen to you. When you call out to them, they will not answer.

“ So you shall speak all these words to them, but they will not listen to you. You shall call to them, but they will not answer you.

“ Tell them all this, but do not expect them to listen. Shout out your warnings, but do not expect them to respond.

“ When you speak all these things to them, they will not listen to you. When you call to them, they will not answer you.

“ Therefore you shall speak all these words to them, but they will not obey you. You shall also call to them, but they will not answer you.

And thou shalt speak all these words unto them; but they will not hearken to thee: thou shalt also call unto them; but they will not answer thee.

“ When you speak all these things to them, they will not listen to you. When you call to them, they will not answer you.

Therefore thou shalt speak all these words unto them; but they will not hearken to thee: thou shalt also call unto them; but they will not answer thee.

Then the LORD said to me,“ When you tell them all this, they will not listen to you. When you call out to them, they will not respond to you.

“ You shall speak all these words to them, but they will not listen to you. You shall also call to them, but they will not answer you.

“耶和华这样说：‘你要站在耶和华殿的院子里，对来自犹大各城，到耶和华殿敬拜的人，把我吩咐你对他们说的一切话，一字不漏告诉他们。

耶和华对我说：“你不要说：‘我年轻’，因为无论我差你到谁那里，你都要去；无论我吩咐你说什么，你都要说。

我曾呼唤他们，他们不听；照样，将来他们呼求我，我也不听。这是万军之耶和华说的。

我要命定你们归在刀下，你们众人都要屈身被杀；因为我呼唤，你们不回答；我说话，你们都不听。反倒行我眼中看为恶的事，拣选我不喜悦的事。”

为什么我来的时候，没有人在呢？为什么我呼唤的时候，没有人答应呢？难道我的手太软弱不能救赎吗？或是我没有能力拯救吗？看哪！我以斥责使海干涸，我使江河变成旷野，江河的鱼因无水发臭，因干渴而死。

他说：“你去告诉这子民，说：‘你们听了又听，却不明白；看了又看，却不晓得。’你要使这子民的心思迟钝（“迟钝”直译是“蒙脂油”），耳朵不灵，眼睛昏暗，免得他们眼睛看见，耳朵听见，心里明白，回转过来，得到医治。”

这人民十分顽固，心里刚硬，我差派你到他们那里去。你要对他们说：‘主耶和华这样说。’他们或听或不听（他们原是叛逆的民族），也必知道在他们中间有一位先知。“人子啊！至于你，虽然荆棘和蒺藜在你周围，你又住在蝎子群中，你不要怕他们，也不要怕他们讲的话。他们原是叛逆的民族，你总不要怕他们讲的话，在他们面前，也不要惊惶。他们或听或不听，你只要把我的话告诉他们，他们原是叛逆的。

“人子啊，我立了你作以色列家守望的人，所以你要聆听我口中的话，替我警告他们。如果我对恶人说：‘你必定死亡！’你却不警告他，也不警戒他离开恶行，好救他的性命，这恶人就必因自己的罪孽死亡。但我要因他的死追究你。

因为神的全部计划，我已经毫无保留地传给你们了。

他对我说：“人子啊，你去！到以色列家那里，把我的话告诉他们。你受差派不是到一个说话难明、言语难懂的民族那里去，而是到以色列家去；不是到说话难明、言语难懂的众多民族那里去，他们的话是你听不懂的。但是，如果我差派你到他们那里去，他们必听从你。以色列家却不肯听从你，因为他们不肯听从我，整个以色列家都是额坚心硬的。看哪！我要使你的脸像他们的脸一样坚硬，使你的前额像他们的前额一样坚硬。我要使你的额好像最坚硬的宝石，比火石更硬。他们虽然是叛逆的民族，你却不要怕他们，在他们面前，也不要惊惶。”他又对我说：“人子啊！我对你说的一切话，你都要留心听，记在心里。你去，到被掳的人民那里，向他们宣讲；他们或听或不听，你只要对他们说：‘主耶和华这样说。’”

他们必攻击你，却不能胜过你，因为我与你同在，要拯救你。”这是耶和华的宣告。
