“日月星辰将有异兆；在地上，各国也要因着海洋波涛的咆哮而困苦不安。天上的万象震动，人因为等待即将临到世界的事，都吓昏了。

就是要兴起迦勒底人，那残忍凶暴的民；他们遍行全地，占领别人的家园。他们恐怖可怕，自以为义，趾高气扬。他们的马比豹更快，比晚上的豺狼更猛。他们的骑兵奔驰，自远而来；他们如鹰飞翔，迅速吞噬。他们定着脸面向前，齐来行暴，掳获战俘多如尘沙。他们戏弄君王，以掌权的为笑柄；他们嗤笑一切城堡，筑垒攻取；

他们的箭囊像敞开的坟墓，他们尽都是勇士。

我必把埃及人交在残暴的主人手中；凶猛的君王要管辖他们；这是主万军之耶和华说的。

你所有的盟友都忘记了你，不再关心你；我击打了你，好像仇敌击打你，又好像残暴的人惩罚你一样；都因你的罪孽甚多，你的罪恶无数。
