“ From the least to the greatest, all are greedy for gain; prophets and priests alike, all practice deceit.

Everyone wants to get richer and richer, from the least important of them to the most important. Prophets and priests alike try to fool everyone they can.

“ For from the least to the greatest of them, everyone is greedy for unjust gain; and from prophet to priest, everyone deals falsely.

“ From the least to the greatest, their lives are ruled by greed. From prophets to priests, they are all frauds.

For from the least to the greatest of them, everyone is making profit dishonestly. From prophet to priest, everyone deals falsely.

“ For from the least of them to the greatest of them, Everyone is greedy for gain, And from the prophet to the priest Everyone deals falsely.

“ Because from the least of them even to the greatest of them, Everyone is given to covetousness; And from the prophet even to the priest, Everyone deals falsely.

耶和華曰、先知祭司、所行誕妄、在我殿宇、惡跡已彰、

耶和華曰、自尊達卑、貪婪無厭、先知祭司俱言詐偽、故其妻室必適他人、其田疇為他人所得、我使之然。

長者聽訟、為納苞苴、祭司訓民、惟望賞賚、先知圖利、而言未來事、然眾恃耶和華自謂耶和華左右我、必不遘災、

彼貪財貨、干我震怒、扑之遠之、彼乃乖戾、不更厥志。

惟爾縱心目之欲、貪婪不已、強據虐遇、而殺無辜。

先知傳虛詞、祭司隨聲附和、國民以此為悅、將若之何。

往於田、所見無非殺戮、入於邑、觸目盡是餓殍、先知祭司、往來貿易、不以為意。

彼偽先知、迷惑我民、供其食用者、則許以平康、缺其甘旨者、則與之戰鬥、故耶和華責之曰、

偽先知同謀、若獅狂吼、斷傷人、吞噬人、得其珍寶、使邑中嫠婦不可勝數、祭司干犯律例、玩瀆聖物、聖與不聖、潔與不潔、不為剖別、我之安息日、不復恪守、棄我於民中、邑中之牧伯若狼、行其殘害、肆其吞噬、以獲不義之利。先知所見者、虛偽之異象、所占者無憑之卜筮、自謂傳耶和華之命、然我未嘗示之、若作垣墉、以不堅緻之泥塗之、

惟爾惡善好惡、剝人之皮、刳人之肉、惟餘骨骸、爾去我民之皮、而噬其肉、折其骨割之為臠、投之鼎鑊、

其中之牧伯、猛若吼獅、其士師惡若豺狼、夤夜而出、愈肆其暴、盡嚙骨骸、至於詰朝、遺骼無存、其先知驕泰誕妄、其祭司污衊聖所、違背法度、

又曰、當令野獸、來此吞噬、民之戍卒、目眯不明、守夜之犬、喑不能吠、或偃卧、或假寐。彼甚饕餮、不知饜足、譬彼愚蠢之牧人、無一不縱己欲、不顧私利。彼曰、盍來取酒、縱飲醇醪、明日必多於今日。

𠵽唎㘔之好利者、聞斯言、哂之、

斯民偃息在床、猶謀不軌、迨至黎明、凡力可以勝、則無不為、其禍必不遠矣。彼貪人田廬、而強據之、人與第宅、及凡所有、俱遭暴虐、

以色列族猶大家、爰及耶路撒冷居民、與厥王公、祭司先知、惟惡是作、攖予忿懥、

斯邦之人、自祭司至先知、縱飲無度、沉湎於酒、至於跬步不能自主、雖目睹異象、而心志仍昏、雖為民折中、而剖決不明。

所視無非惡色、獲罪不已、厥必常貪、信道不篤者、為其所惑、如此之人、可以咒詛、離正道而迷罔、從破朔子巴蘭之行、巴蘭貪不義之利、

不酗不競、非義之利勿取、必寛裕溫良、務絕貪婪、

受賄以殺人、取利追索、棄我耶和華。

先知祭司、蹈於罪愆、殺義人於邑中、故遭此事兮。

盜被執則愧恥、以色列族、王公、祭司、先知、庶民、無不懹慙、亦若是。

耶路撒冷之先知、更堪痛疾、行淫詭譎、俾作惡者流、厥志孔強、不悛厥行、予鑒察之、視若所多馬蛾摩拉之人無異。萬有之主耶和華曰耶路撒冷先知、導民行惡、殆遍斯土、我使之茹茶飲酖、

祭司先知庶民、聞耶利米在耶和華殿言此。耶利米以耶和華所命者、悉告庶民、其言既竟、祭司先知、與眾民執之、曰、爾罪當死、

彼取人財、以巧言鬻爾、上帝預定、不久必鞫之、使彼速沉淪、

彼既至、坐於爾前、若我民然、聽爾言而不行、口所言則愛爾不置、其心貪婪、
