“‘ We would have healed Babylon, but she cannot be healed; let us leave her and each go to our own land, for her judgment reaches to the skies, it rises as high as the heavens.’

“ The nations say,‘ We would have healed Babylon. But it can’t be healed. So let’s leave it. Let’s each go to our own land. Babylon’s sins reach all the way to the skies. They rise up as high as the heavens.’

We would have healed Babylon, but she was not healed. Forsake her, and let us go each to his own country, for her judgment has reached up to heaven and has been lifted up even to the skies.

罪惡滔天、其不義、上帝錄之、

群眾傾覆、自相蹂躪、曰、莫若旋師返國、不遭強者殺戮、

曰、我上帝歟、予覺赧然、不敢仰視、蓋我眾罪惡滔天、幾至滅頂。

軍旅凱旋時、耶和華之先知阿特出迓、告之曰、列祖之上帝怒猶大俾爾克之、乃爾怒氣沖霄、殺戮不已。

昔日左道之徒、與爾往來、今見爾邑敗亡、各歸己所、無人援爾。

民曰、夏日已過、穡時既畢、而我未獲拯救。

爾見林木生長堅剛、高可干霄、天下人民、咸得仰而見之、樹葉葱蘢、果實殷繁、百物食之賴以果腹、野獸蹲伏蔭下、飛鳥棲止於枝巔、斯樹即王、爾既長大、堅剛無比、高大及乎九宵、權能延乎四極、

往沽時、新娶者至、有備者同入昏筵、而門閉矣、其餘處女後至、曰、主也、主也、請為我啟、曰、我誠告爾、我不爾識也、故當儆醒、以人子至、爾不知其時日也、

彼以金募壯士、俱若肥牛、災害既臨、敗北而遁、不能禦敵。
