當自巴比倫逃遁、各救己命、勿罹其罪而亡、此主復仇之時、施報於巴比倫、

“ Flee from Babylon! Run for your lives! Do not be destroyed because of her sins. It is time for the Lord’s vengeance; he will repay her what she deserves.

“ People of Judah, run away from Babylon! Run for your lives! Do not be destroyed because of the sins of its people. It is time for me to pay them back. I will punish them for what they have done.

“ Flee from the midst of Babylon; let every one save his life! Be not cut off in her punishment, for this is the time of the Lord’s vengeance, the repayment he is rendering her.

Flee from Babylon! Save yourselves! Don’t get trapped in her punishment! It is the Lord’s time for vengeance; he will repay her in full.

Leave Babylon; save your lives, each of you! Don’t perish because of her guilt. For this is the time of the LORD’s vengeance— he will pay her what she deserves.

今我民當出巴比倫、離迦勒底地、若牡羊導群。

今我欲雪宿忿、視其所行而加報施、爾曹當鼓譟直前、毀其垣墉、傾其基址、使巴比倫投誠。

邦國眾多、列王顯赫、必使迦勒底人為其服役、視其所行、而加報施。

我民當出巴比倫、各保生命、免我震怒、

謂會眾曰、離此惡黨之幕、勿捫其物、恐同陷於罪、與之偕亡。

惟爾選民、不亡於刃、當往勿遲、雖在遠邦、追念耶和華、思耶路撒冷不置。

耶和華曰、我使爾眾散於四方、若颶風驟起、故當疾趨、出自北方、郇之民人、居於巴比倫邑中者、宜思免於其難。

大邑裂為三、異邦眾邑傾圮、上帝憶巴比倫大邑、怒甚、以鴆酒之杯賜飲、

萬有之主耶和華曰、驕志之人、降災之日伊邇、我必攻爾。

我儕欲醫巴比倫而不得、其禍滔天、上沖霄漢、我今去之、各歸故土。

爾曹去巴比倫、迦勒底地、欣然謳歌、普告四極云、耶和華救其臣雅各家、

今耶和華震怒、欲滅巴比倫、為其殿宇雪忿、故慫慂米太王、以攻爾邑、爾雖礪鏃執盾、邑垣建旆、戍樓鞏固、命戍稽察、設伏防禦、終歸無益、蓋我耶和華昔言降災巴比倫、今已有應。

我刃閃爍、我磨礪之、我秉公義、凡逆我者罰之、憾我者報之、

外亡以刃、內害以驚、丁男與處女、赤子與白首、淪胥以亡。

勿遽按手、任人為會執事、勿與人共罪、惟潔是務、

列國之人必服事之、爰及子孫、屆滅國之期而後已、厥後邦國眾多、列王顯赫、必使巴比倫王供其服役。

先知曰、今日萬有之主耶和華降災於敵、雪其夙忿、使之被戮於鋒刃、飲血若醉、蓋萬有之主耶和華在於北方、百辣河濱、大行誅殛。

異邦之眾、宜與斯土之民同樂、上帝之僕、其血見流、必洩厥恨、報諸仇敵、為民贖罪。○

與智人為友者、自生智慧、與愚人為侶者、必致敗亡。

我又聞自天有聲云、吾民當出巴比倫、勿與其罪、遘其災、罪惡滔天、其不義、上帝錄之、以其所加諸人者、即加之彼、視其所行、執施惟倍、彼以斝使人飲者、今亦倍以罰之、

及旦、天使促羅得曰、起、攜若妻、及在此二女、恐與邑共罹災害。耶和華矜恤羅得、羅得尚遲延、天使執其手、與妻及女、咸引之出、置於邑外。曰、爾必遁逃、以全生命、毋回顧、毋止於平原、當避於山、否則必亡、

飲畢若狂、傾欹不定、蓋我必降以鋒刃之災。
