I will send other nations against it to separate the straw from the grain. I will send them to destroy Babylon completely. They will oppose it on every side. At that time it will be destroyed.

and I will send to Babylon winnowers, and they shall winnow her, and they shall empty her land, when they come against her from every side on the day of trouble.

你要簸揚它們，風要將它們吹去；旋風要颳散它們。你卻要以耶和華為喜樂，因以色列的聖者誇耀。

你們要在境內豎立大旗，在列邦中吹角，使列邦預備攻擊巴比倫。要招集亞拉臘、米尼、亞實基拿各國前來攻擊它，派將軍攻擊它，使馬匹上來如粗暴的蝗蟲；使列邦和瑪代君王，省長和官員，他們所管的全地，都預備攻擊它。

所有拉弓的啊，要在巴比倫的四圍擺陣，射箭攻擊它，不用愛惜箭枝，因為它得罪了耶和華。要在它四圍吶喊：「它已經投降，堡壘坍塌了，城牆拆毀了！」這是耶和華所報的仇。你們要向它報仇；它怎樣待人，你們也要怎樣待它。

你的百姓三分之一必遭瘟疫而死，因饑荒在你們中間而消滅；三分之一必在你四圍倒在刀下；我必將三分之一分散四方，要拔刀追趕他們。

狂傲的必絆跌仆倒，無人扶起。我必用火點燃他的城鎮，將他四圍所有的盡行燒滅。」
