Lift up a banner against the walls of Babylon! Reinforce the guard, station the watchmen, prepare an ambush! The Lord will carry out his purpose, his decree against the people of Babylon.

Lift up a banner! Attack Babylon’s walls! Put more guards on duty! Station more of them to watch over you! Hide and wait to attack them! I will do what I have planned. I will do what I have decided to do against the people of Babylon.

「你要向列國宣告，你要豎起旗幟毫不隱瞞地宣告，『巴比倫要淪陷了！它的神明彼勒必蒙羞，米羅達必驚慌；巴比倫的神像都蒙羞，偶像都必驚慌。

任何智慧、悟性和謀略，都不能對抗耶和華。

「要在大地上豎起旌旗，在列國吹響號角，讓他們預備攻打巴比倫。要召集亞拉臘人、米尼人、亞實基拿人，使他們派遣將領率騎兵如蝗蟲一樣鋪天蓋地而來，攻打巴比倫。

你要蓄水以防圍困，要加強防禦！要走進土坑踩泥，拿起磚模造磚！但在那裡，火要吞噬你，刀劍要殺戮你，要像蝗蟲吞沒你。你只管像蝗蟲一樣繁殖，如蚱蜢一般增多吧！

你們去向萬國宣告：「要召集勇士，徵調軍隊，前去打仗！要將犁頭打成刀劍，把鐮刀鑄成矛頭，軟弱的人也要做勇士！四圍的列國啊，你們快快聚集到那裡吧！」耶和華啊，求你差遣大能的勇士降臨。「萬國都要起來，上到約沙法谷受審判，因為我要坐在那裡審判他們。開鐮吧，因為莊稼熟了；踩踏吧，因為榨酒池的葡萄滿了。他們惡貫滿盈，如酒池滿溢。」千千萬萬的人聚集在審判谷，因為耶和華的日子要臨到那裡。

耶和華實現了祂的計劃，成就了祂很久以前的應許。祂毫不留情地毀滅了你，使你的仇敵幸災樂禍，耀武揚威。

「要預備大小盾牌，衝向戰場。要套好戰車，騎上戰馬，擦亮矛槍，頂盔貫甲。可是，我看見的是什麼呢？他們驚慌後退，勇士敗逃，不敢回頭，驚恐不安。這是耶和華說的。

艾城的王見以色列人兵臨城下，清早便急忙和全城的人起來出城迎戰，在亞拉巴谷附近跟以色列軍交鋒，他不知道城後有伏兵。

列國啊，你們必被打垮、擊潰！遠方的人啊，你們要聽！整裝備戰吧，但你們必被擊垮！整裝備戰吧，但你們必被擊垮！你們設計謀吧，但休想得逞！你們定策略吧，但休想成功！因為上帝與我們同在。

我要聚集萬國，帶他們下到約沙法谷，在那裡審判他們，因為他們把我的子民，就是我的產業以色列，分散到各國，並瓜分我的土地。
