萬軍之耶和華說：看哪！我必攻擊你，我要把你的（按照《馬索拉文本》，「你的」作「她的」;現參照其他古譯本翻譯）戰車焚燒成煙，刀劍必吞滅你的幼獅；我必從地上除去你的獵物，你使者的聲音也必不再有人聽見。

你們必在我的筵席上吃飽馬匹、騎兵、勇士和所有的戰士。這是主耶和華的宣告。’

雅各的神啊！因你的斥責，坐車的和騎馬的都沉睡了。

他使戰爭止息，直到地極；他把弓折毀，把矛砍斷，把戰車用火焚燒。
