Yet their Redeemer is strong; the Lord Almighty is his name. He will vigorously defend their cause so that he may bring rest to their land, but unrest to those who live in Babylon.

But I am strong and will save them. My name is the Lord Who Rules Over All. I will stand up for them. I will bring peace and rest to their land. But I will bring trouble to those who live in Babylon.

Their Redeemer is strong; the Lord of hosts is his name. He will surely plead their cause, that he may give rest to the earth, but unrest to the inhabitants of Babylon.

But the one who redeems them is strong. His name is the Lord of Heaven’s Armies. He will defend them and give them rest again in Israel. But for the people of Babylon there will be no rest!

For your Maker is your husband, The Lord of hosts is His name; And your Redeemer is the Holy One of Israel; He is called the God of the whole earth.

“ I will deliver you from the hand of the wicked, And I will redeem you from the grip of the terrible.”

Therefore thus says the Lord:“ Behold, I will plead your case and take vengeance for you. I will dry up her sea and make her springs dry.

I will bear the indignation of the Lord, Because I have sinned against Him, Until He pleads my case And executes justice for me. He will bring me forth to the light; I will see His righteousness.

“ Thus says the Lord, the King of Israel, And his Redeemer, the Lord of hosts:‘ I am the First and I am the Last; Besides Me there is no God.

Thus says the Lord, your Redeemer, The Holy One of Israel:“ For your sake I will send to Babylon, And bring them all down as fugitives— The Chaldeans, who rejoice in their ships.

“ Fear not, you worm Jacob, You men of Israel! I will help you,” says the Lord And your Redeemer, the Holy One of Israel.

Vindicate me, O God, And plead my cause against an ungodly nation; Oh, deliver me from the deceitful and unjust man!

Plead my cause, O Lord, with those who strive with me; Fight against those who fight against me.

Therefore her plagues will come in one day— death and mourning and famine. And she will be utterly burned with fire, for strong is the Lord God who judges her.

Be in pain, and labor to bring forth, O daughter of Zion, Like a woman in birth pangs. For now you shall go forth from the city, You shall dwell in the field, And to Babylon you shall go. There you shall be delivered; There the Lord will redeem you From the hand of your enemies.

Thus says your Lord, The Lord and your God, Who pleads the cause of His people:“ See, I have taken out of your hand The cup of trembling, The dregs of the cup of My fury; You shall no longer drink it.

For their Redeemer is mighty; He will plead their cause against you.

For the Lord will plead their cause, And plunder the soul of those who plunder them.

It shall come to pass in the day the Lord gives you rest from your sorrow, and from your fear and the hard bondage in which you were made to serve,that you will take up this proverb against the king of Babylon, and say:“ How the oppressor has ceased, The golden city ceased!The Lord has broken the staff of the wicked, The scepter of the rulers;He who struck the people in wrath with a continual stroke, He who ruled the nations in anger, Is persecuted and no one hinders.The whole earth is at rest and quiet; They break forth into singing.

The Portion of Jacob is not like them, For He is the Maker of all things; And Israel is the tribe of His inheritance. The Lord of hosts is His name.

After these things I heard a loud voice of a great multitude in heaven, saying,“ Alleluia! Salvation and glory and honor and power belong to the Lord our God!For true and righteous are His judgments, because He has judged the great harlot who corrupted the earth with her fornication; and He has avenged on her the blood of His servants shed by her.”Again they said,“ Alleluia! Her smoke rises up forever and ever!”

since it is a righteous thing with God to repay with tribulation those who trouble you,and to give you who are troubled rest with us when the Lord Jesus is revealed from heaven with His mighty angels,

Sing, O heavens, for the Lord has done it! Shout, you lower parts of the earth; Break forth into singing, you mountains, O forest, and every tree in it! For the Lord has redeemed Jacob, And glorified Himself in Israel.Thus says the Lord, your Redeemer, And He who formed you from the womb:“ I am the Lord, who makes all things, Who stretches out the heavens all alone, Who spreads abroad the earth by Myself;

Therefore say to the children of Israel:‘ I am the Lord; I will bring you out from under the burdens of the Egyptians, I will rescue you from their bondage, and I will redeem you with an outstretched arm and with great judgments.
