耶和华已经彰显我们的公义。来吧！我们可以在锡安报告耶和华我们神的作为。你们要磨尖了箭头，抓住盾牌。耶和华定意攻击巴比伦，将他毁灭，所以激动了玛代君王的心；因这是耶和华报仇，就是为自己的殿报仇。

于是他们把耶路撒冷神殿库房中所掠的金器皿拿来，王和大臣、皇后、妃嫔就用这器皿饮酒。他们饮酒，赞美金、银、铜、铁、木、石所造的神。当时，忽有人的指头显出，在王宫与灯台相对的粉墙上写字。王看见写字的指头

你们躲避刀剑的要快走，不要站住！要在远方记念耶和华，心中追想耶路撒冷。我们听见辱骂就蒙羞，满面惭愧，因为外邦人进入耶和华殿的圣所。

“我必使耶路撒冷被围困的时候，向四围列国的民成为令人昏醉的杯；这默示也论到犹大。那日，我必使耶路撒冷向聚集攻击他的万民当作一块重石头；凡举起的必受重伤。
