故頃刻間、災害數至、即饑饉、痛哭、死亡、火爇、蓋鞫之之上帝、乃大能之主、

張旌斾於童山、號召厥眾、招之以手、俾進民牧之門、主有傑士、召為執事、以洩其憤、莫不踴躍、樂奏其能。萬有之主耶和華、核數軍實、使臨戰鬥、岡巒之上、國民和集、威聲遠振。耶和華赫然震怒、爰整其旅、以滅斯土、來自遠方、至從地極。

邑中吹角、民豈得不懼、邑中有禍、豈非我耶和華使之然乎、

今耶和華震怒、欲滅巴比倫、為其殿宇雪忿、故慫慂米太王、以攻爾邑、爾雖礪鏃執盾、邑垣建旆、戍樓鞏固、命戍稽察、設伏防禦、終歸無益、蓋我耶和華昔言降災巴比倫、今已有應。

主使米太人擊爾、雖饋以金銀、彼不納焉、以弓撻少壯、不恤孩提、不憫孕字。

自始迄終、未來之事、我一一預言、我旨必成、意必就。召彼鷙鳥、至自東土、我所簡者、來自遠方、我言已出、必踐之、我意已定、必成之、

有能之傑士兮、腰懸利刃、彰爾尊榮兮、

爾米太王、若我巨椎。若我武備、用汝伐列邦、殲眾庶、

萬有之主耶和華曰、我將勃然而興、滅巴比倫遺民、塗抹其名、延及王之宗室、淪胥以亡、掃除巴比倫之邑、變為水澤、蝟集其處。萬有之主耶和華矢之曰、我意已定、我命必成、

選民和會、群聽斯言、異邦之人、孰能預言未來事、惟我耶和華、寵愛古列俾成我志、降災於巴比倫降罰於迦勒底、我頒詔召之、且導之遵坦途。

耶和華曰、災降於迦勒底、巴比倫、及其牧伯哲士。災降於卜筮之輩、使之愚蠢、悍勇之卒、使之怯懦。災降於車馬、以及異族、使之喪膽、無異婦女。災降於貨財、被人刧掠。災降於江湖、使之立涸、斯土之人、服事偶像、舉國若狂。

適見驍騎、齊驅並駕、駝驢成群、於是傾耳諦聽、大聲呼曰、彼來若獅、我主與、余巡守已永朝矣、屹立已永夕矣、今見驍騎、齊驅並駕。曰、巴比倫城其傾圮乎、其傾圮乎、偶像遭毀、顛躓於地。
