上帝具至智、有大能、違之者烏能得福。

是夕迦勒底王伯沙撒、為敵所殺、米太人大利烏得迦勒底地而王之、時年六十有二。

我全能之上帝也、爾昔欲與我辨、今何詞以對。

爾有巨能若我、爾可行雷若我。

彼惡人妄自尊崇、謂超於凡稱上帝、世所崇拜者、而敵之、入上帝殿、居上帝位、自以為上帝、

人若陶器、居於土壤、如與造化主爭、禍必及之。譬諸塗泥、豈能謂陶人曰、奚造我若此、受造之物、豈能謂造之者、毫無技能。

摩西亞倫覲法老曰希百來族之上帝耶和華諭云、爾欲待何時、始自卑乎、當釋我民、以役事我。

今巴比倫傾頽崩毀、為之舉哀、求乳香以醫厥疾。

巴比倫人曰、我罹患難、憂心戚戚、劬勞如臨產之婦、恐懼觳觫、不忍見聞、我心昏迷、戰栗特甚、深宵宴樂、忽變駭懼、設席宴享、爰遣邏卒巡更、呼曰、群伯速興、備爾干戈、

天下億兆、咎戾滋多、主必罰之、高者降之為卑、強者汰其驕心、

其素自榮華靡、故使之疾苦痛哭、亦若是、彼自謂女王、非嫠婦、必不痛哭、故頃刻間、災害數至、即饑饉、痛哭、死亡、火爇、蓋鞫之之上帝、乃大能之主、

使者絡繹而來、告巴比倫王曰、邑已陷、津已塞、葦已焚、武士戰慄。萬有之主、以色列族之上帝耶和華曰、巴比倫人若穀場、其期已屆、必遭蹂躪、不日穡時至焉。郇邑及耶路撒冷民曰、巴比倫王尼布甲尼撒、噬予滅予、使我為虛器、吞我若蛇、飫我肥甘、逐我遠去、彼虐遇予、殺予戚屬、罪必歸巴比倫、及迦勒底民。
