You friends of Moab, weep for him and cry! See how the strong scepter is broken, how the beautiful staff is shattered!

故我必為摩押哀哭、為摩押全地號咷、為基珥哈列斯人民、歎息甚慘、實瑪葡萄樹、枝蔓越於海濱、延及雅塞海、殘賊者忽至、奪取夏果、奪取葡萄、我為之哭泣、較雅塞人哭泣更甚、在良田、良田或作迦密在摩押地、無復欣喜歡樂、我使壓酒處無酒、不復踐葡萄而歡呼、雖聞號呼之聲、非歡呼之聲、乃戰爭之聲、

枝柯堅強、堪為秉權者之杖、杖或作圭下同其株甚高、在枝葉暢茂之中、高枝繁多、自遠處可見、乃忿然忿然或作猛然見拔、拋擲於地、東風暴其果、堅強之枝柯被折、遂致枯槁、為火所焚、今植於曠野旱乾無水之地、有火自枝幹而出、焚燬其果、復無堅強之枝柯、堪為秉權者之杖、此則可哀、可用以作哀歌、
