This is the word that Yahweh spoke concerning Moab in time past.But now Yahweh has spoken, saying,“ Within three years, as a worker bound by contract would count them, the glory of Moab shall be brought into contempt, with all his great multitude; and the remnant will be very small and feeble.”

“ Therefore tell them,‘ The Lord Yahweh says:“ None of my words will be deferred any more, but the word which I speak will be performed,” says the Lord Yahweh.’”

Tell them therefore,‘ The Lord Yahweh says:“ I will make this proverb to cease, and they will no more use it as a proverb in Israel;”’ but tell them,‘“ The days are at hand, and the fulfillment of every vision.

Then Yahweh said to me,“ You have seen well; for I watch over my word to perform it.”

In covetousness they will exploit you with deceptive words: whose sentence now from of old doesn’t linger, and their destruction will not slumber.

Vengeance is mine, and recompense, at the time when their foot slides; for the day of their calamity is at hand. Their doom rushes at them.”
