我必遣召北方諸族、及我僕巴比倫王尼布甲尼撒、導之以攻斯土、與其居民、暨四周諸國、我必滅之、使之令人駭異、為人嗤笑、永久荒蕪、耶和華言之矣、

不喜馬力、不悅人股兮、惟寅畏耶和華、仰望其慈惠者、乃其所悅兮、

我轉觀日下、疾趨者未必先至、力戰者未必獲勝、智者未必得食、達者未必得財、有技能者未必蒙恩寵、凡事皆由時勢而成、

惟耶和華偕我、如可畏之勇士、窘迫我者必顚越、而不獲勝、蒙極大之羞、受永久不忘之辱、以其行事不智也、

便雅憫人歟、逃出耶路撒冷以求安、吹角於提哥亞、立斾於伯哈基琳、蓋禍自北而著、毀滅甚巨、

向錫安樹斾、逃難勿延、蓋我降禍、自北而來、大施翦滅、

軍旅彌漫、破於其前、同盟之君亦然、

疾趨者不得避所、強壯者不得施力、剛勇者不能自救、執弓者不得屹立、捷足者不得脫逃、乘馬者不能自救、

彼令多人顚仆、互相枕藉、乃曰起哉、我儕歸本族、返故土、以避兇刃、

爾曰、不然、我將乘馬而奔、故爾必奔、又曰、我乘迅疾之騎、故追爾者亦迅疾焉、一人叱咤、而千人逃、五人叱咤、而眾人遁、迨爾所遺、如山巔之竿、嶺上之旌、

惟彼惡人、我仇我敵、進攻欲食我肉、咸躓而顚兮、

狂傲者必躓而顚、無人起之、我必燃火於其諸邑、焚其四周所有、○

我見主立於壇側曰、擊柱頂以震門閾、俾其折碎、墮於眾首、我必以刃戮其遺民、無一能逃、無一得避、彼雖穿穴入於陰府、我手必取之、雖攀至高天、我必降之、雖匿於迦密之巔、我必搜而出之、雖避我目、藏於海底、我必命蛇齧之、

耶和華刃擊、潰亂西西拉及其車乘軍旅、於巴拉前、西西拉下車、徒行而遁、巴拉追其車卒、至外邦夏羅設、西西拉全軍悉隕於刃、靡有孑遺、西西拉徒行、逃至基尼人希百妻雅億之幕、蓋夏瑣王耶賓與希百家和好、雅億出迎、謂曰、我主請入、毋懼、遂入其幕、雅億以衾覆之、西西拉曰、我渴、請以少許之水飲我、遂啟革囊、飲之以乳、仍覆以衾、又曰、爾立幕門、如有來詢者曰、有人在此否、爾則曰無、西西拉憊而酣寢、雅億取幕釘、手執椎、輕步而前、以釘貫其鬢際、釘之於地、遂昏眩而死、
