耶和華曰、我奚見此哉、彼眾驚而卻退、勇士敗潰、急遁不顧其後、四周惶恐、

What do I see? They are terrified, they are retreating, their warriors are defeated. They flee in haste without looking back, and there is terror on every side,” declares the Lord.

勿往於田、勿行於途、敵人執刃、四周震懼、

彼以金募壯士、俱若肥牛、災害既臨、敗北而遁、不能禦敵。

越在疇昔、尼尼微邑若滙水之區、今民逃遁、呼之使止、彼不敢回顧焉、

我聞眾民、訕謗我躬、隨在驚惶、彼此傳語、聲罪辱我、我之友朋、望我趑趄、云、或可誘而勝之、以雪我忿。

蓋主曾使亞蘭人聞車騎之聲、若全軍忽至、則相語曰、以色列王、以金饋赫人埃及人列王、俱來攻我、故不待昧爽、已虛其帷幕、棄其馬驢、全營尚在、遁逃保命。

爾之有能者、為我耶和華所驅、不能禦敵、俱遭淹沒。

君民眾多、見我揮劍、罰爾之日、必畏懼駭愕、恐喪生命、戰慄不已、

曰、爾必遁逃、以全生命、毋回顧、毋止於平原、當避於山、否則必亡、

世上諸王大夫將軍富人、有能者、或主或僕、匿於巖穴、籲呼山巖壓己、不令坐位之主見之、及為羔所怒、蓋羔大怒之日至矣、孰能當之、

萬有之主耶和華舉手一揮、埃及人無不畏葸、同於婦女、

詰旦、巴述釋耶利米出於桎梏、耶利米告巴述曰、耶和華易爾名為馬各米撒畢。蓋耶和華曰、我將使爾恆有懼心、友朋見爾、莫不悚懼、爾友將亡於刃、使爾目睹、蓋巴比倫王將伐猶大、殺戮殆盡、擄其民人、而反、我使之然。
