必付之於索其命者、即巴比倫王尼布甲尼撒及其臣僕之手、厥後伊及之地、仍有人居處、與昔無異、此乃主所言、○

I will give them into the hands of those who want to kill them— Nebuchadnezzar king of Babylon and his officers. Later, however, Egypt will be inhabited as in times past,” declares the Lord.

主耶和華如此說：巴比倫王的刀必臨到你。

所以主耶和華如此說：我必使刀劍臨到你，把人與牲畜從你中間剪除。埃及地必荒蕪廢棄，他們就知道我是耶和華。「因為法老說『尼羅河是我的，是我所造的』，所以，看哪，我必與你和你的江河為敵，使埃及地，從密奪到色弗尼，直到古實邊界，全然廢棄荒蕪。人的腳不經過，獸的蹄也不經過，四十年之久無人居住。我要使埃及地成為荒蕪中最荒蕪的地，使它的城鎮變為荒廢中最荒廢的城鎮，共四十年之久。我必將埃及人分散到列國，四散在列邦。「主耶和華如此說：滿了四十年後，我必招聚分散在萬民中的埃及人。我要令埃及被擄的人歸回，使他們回到本地巴特羅。在那裏，他們必成為弱小的國家，

到末後，我卻要使摩押被擄的人歸回。摩押受審判的話到此為止。這是耶和華說的。
