“ Announce this in Egypt, and proclaim it in Migdol; proclaim it also in Memphis and Tahpanhes:‘ Take your positions and get ready, for the sword devours those around you.’

“ Egyptians, here is what I want you to announce in your land. Announce it in the city of Migdol. Also announce it in Memphis and Tahpanhes. Say,‘ Take up your battle positions! Get ready! The sword eats up those around you.’

“ Declare in Egypt, and proclaim in Migdol; proclaim in Memphis and Tahpanhes; say,‘ Stand ready and be prepared, for the sword shall devour around you.’

“ Shout it out in Egypt! Publish it in the cities of Migdol, Memphis, and Tahpanhes! Mobilize for battle, for the sword will devour everyone around you.

我責打你們的兒女，卻是徒勞，因為他們不受管教。你們殺害你們的先知，殘暴如獅子。

你們去向萬國宣告：「要召集勇士，徵調軍隊，前去打仗！要將犁頭打成刀劍，把鐮刀鑄成矛頭，軟弱的人也要做勇士！四圍的列國啊，你們快快聚集到那裡吧！」耶和華啊，求你差遣大能的勇士降臨。「萬國都要起來，上到約沙法谷受審判，因為我要坐在那裡審判他們。

「便雅憫人啊，你們要逃離耶路撒冷！你們要在提哥亞吹響號角，在伯·哈基琳發出警報，因為有大災難從北方逼近。我要毀滅美麗嬌弱的錫安城。敵人必圍攻她，在她周圍安營紮寨，如同牧人帶著羊群在她四周搭起帳篷。他們喊道，『準備作戰！我們中午攻城。』他們後來說，『唉！日已西沉，天色漸暗。起來吧，我們要乘夜攻打她，毀滅她的宮殿。』」

我要放火燒埃及，訓要受痛苦的折磨，底比斯要被攻破，挪弗終日惶恐不已，亞文和比伯實的壯丁必死於刀下，眾城都要遭受擄掠。我粉碎埃及勢力的那天，答比匿日月無光，她的銳氣全消。烏雲要籠罩她，她城邑的居民要被擄去。

「你吩咐以色列人改變方向，在比·哈希錄附近的海邊紮營，在紅海和密奪之間，對面是巴力·洗分。

殺戮者已來到曠野中光禿的山嶺，耶和華使刀劍橫掃全境，無人倖免。
