For this[ is] the day of the Lord GOD of hosts, a day of vengeance, that he may avenge him of his adversaries: and the sword shall devour, and it shall be satiate and made drunk with their blood: for the Lord GOD of hosts hath a sacrifice in the north country by the river Euphrates.

是為萬軍之主耶和華之日、乃復仇之日、彼必復仇於敵、使刃食人而飽、飲血而足、緣萬軍之主耶和華、在北方伯拉河濱、有祀事焉、

先知曰、今日萬有之主耶和華降災於敵、雪其夙忿、使之被戮於鋒刃、飲血若醉、蓋萬有之主耶和華在於北方、百辣河濱、大行誅殛。

此日也、乃主萬有之天主復仇之日、復仇於敵、使刃食而得飽、飲血若醉、蓋主萬有之天主、在北方伯拉河濱、大行誅戮、

But that day belongs to the Lord, the Lord Almighty— a day of vengeance, for vengeance on his foes. The sword will devour till it is satisfied, till it has quenched its thirst with blood. For the Lord, the Lord Almighty, will offer sacrifice in the land of the north by the River Euphrates.

Let not the swift flee away, nor the mighty man escape; they shall stumble, and fall toward the north by the river Euphrates.

These both were cast alive into a lake of fire burning with brimstone.And the remnant were slain with the sword of him that sat upon the horse, which[ sword] proceeded out of his mouth: and all the fowls were filled with their flesh.

The great day of the LORD[ is] near,[ it is] near, and hasteth greatly,[ even] the voice of the day of the LORD: the mighty man shall cry there bitterly.That day[ is] a day of wrath, a day of trouble and distress, a day of wasteness and desolation, a day of darkness and gloominess, a day of clouds and thick darkness,

Hold thy peace at the presence of the Lord GOD: for the day of the LORD[ is] at hand: for the LORD hath prepared a sacrifice, he hath bid his guests.And it shall come to pass in the day of the LORD’S sacrifice, that I will punish the princes, and the king’s children, and all such as are clothed with strange apparel.

Blow ye the trumpet in Zion, and sound an alarm in my holy mountain: let all the inhabitants of the land tremble: for the day of the LORD cometh, for[ it is] nigh at hand;

For the day of vengeance[ is] in mine heart, and the year of my redeemed is come.

To proclaim the acceptable year of the LORD, and the day of vengeance of our God; to comfort all that mourn;

And, thou son of man, thus saith the Lord GOD; Speak unto every feathered fowl, and to every beast of the field, Assemble yourselves, and come; gather yourselves on every side to my sacrifice that I do sacrifice for you,[ even] a great sacrifice upon the mountains of Israel, that ye may eat flesh, and drink blood.Ye shall eat the flesh of the mighty, and drink the blood of the princes of the earth, of rams, of lambs, and of goats, of bullocks, all of them fatlings of Bashan.And ye shall eat fat till ye be full, and drink blood till ye be drunken, of my sacrifice which I have sacrificed for you.Thus ye shall be filled at my table with horses and chariots, with mighty men, and with all men of war, saith the Lord GOD.And I will set my glory among the heathen, and all the heathen shall see my judgment that I have executed, and my hand that I have laid upon them.

For these be the days of vengeance, that all things which are written may be fulfilled.

For my sword shall be bathed in heaven: behold, it shall come down upon Idumea, and upon the people of my curse, to judgment.The sword of the LORD is filled with blood, it is made fat with fatness,[ and] with the blood of lambs and goats, with the fat of the kidneys of rams: for the LORD hath a sacrifice in Bozrah, and a great slaughter in the land of Idumea.And the unicorns shall come down with them, and the bullocks with the bulls; and their land shall be soaked with blood, and their dust made fat with fatness.For[ it is] the day of the LORD’S vengeance,[ and] the year of recompences for the controversy of Zion.

Flee out of the midst of Babylon, and deliver every man his soul: be not cut off in her iniquity; for this[ is] the time of the LORD’S vengeance; he will render unto her a recompence.

Shout against her round about: she hath given her hand: her foundations are fallen, her walls are thrown down: for it[ is] the vengeance of the LORD: take vengeance upon her; as she hath done, do unto her.
