如今永恆主這麼說：看吧，我所建立的我必傾覆；我所栽植的我必拔除；拔除全轄地。

惟我耶和華告爾、曰、昔予建造斯邦、加以栽植、後必殲滅、拔其根株、

主命我耶利米告爾巴錄曰、主如是云、我所建造、後我毀之、我所栽植、後我拔之、天下俱如是、

But the Lord has told me to say to you,‘ This is what the Lord says: I will overthrow what I have built and uproot what I have planted, throughout the earth.

But here is what the Lord has told me to say to you, Baruch.‘ The Lord says,“ I will destroy what I have built up. I will pull up by the roots what I have planted. I will do this throughout the earth.

Thus shall you say to him, Thus says the Lord: Behold, what I have built I am breaking down, and what I have planted I am plucking up— that is, the whole land.

“ Baruch, this is what the Lord says:‘ I will destroy this nation that I built. I will uproot what I planted.

“ This is what you are to say to him:‘ This is what the LORD says:“ What I have built I am about to demolish, and what I have planted I am about to uproot— the whole land!

This is what you are to say to him:‘ This is what the Lord says:“ Behold, what I have built I am going to tear down, and what I have planted I am going to uproot, that is, all the people of the land.”

“ Thus you shall say to him,‘ Thus says the Lord:“ Behold, what I have built I will break down, and what I have planted I will pluck up, that is, this whole land.

Thus shalt thou say unto him, Thus saith Jehovah: Behold, that which I have built will I break down, and that which I have planted I will pluck up; and this in the whole land.

“ This is what you are to say to him:‘ This is what the Lord says: What I have built I am about to demolish, and what I have planted I am about to uproot— the whole land!

Thus shalt thou say unto him, The LORD saith thus; Behold,[ that] which I have built will I break down, and that which I have planted I will pluck up, even this whole land.

The LORD told Jeremiah,“ Tell Baruch,‘ The LORD says,“ I am about to tear down what I have built and to uproot what I have planted. I will do this throughout the whole earth.

“ You shall tell him, Yahweh says:‘ Behold, that which I have built, I will break down, and that which I have planted I will pluck up; and this in the whole land.

我甚麼時候論到一邦或一國說，要拔除，要拆毁，要毁滅，我所論到的那一邦若轉回離開他們的壞事，那我就後悔我想要降與他們的災禍了。我甚麼時候論到一邦或一國說，要建立，要栽植，他們若行我所看為壞的事，不聽我的聲音，那麼我就後悔我所說要使他們得益處的福了。

我先前怎樣儆醒察看他們、而拔除、而拆毁、而傾覆、而毁滅、而降災，我將來也必怎樣儆醒察看他們、而建立、而栽植：這是永恆主發神諭說的。

瞧吧，我今日立了你來管列邦列國，是要拔除，要拆毁，要毁滅，要傾覆，要建立，要栽植。』

你從埃及移出一棵葡萄樹，將外國人趕出，把這樹栽上。你為它開墾了地土，它深深扎根，滿地蔓延。它的蔭影遮滿了羣山；它的枝條蓋上了高大的香柏樹。它發出枝子到大海，伸出幼枝到大河。你為甚麼拆壞它的圍牆，任憑過路人都摘取它呢？森林中出來的野豬把它蹧蹋，田野間的走獸隨便喫它。萬軍之上帝啊，求你回心轉意，從天上察看而看着，眷顧這葡萄樹，你右手所栽植的樹榦、和你為自己所培養到壯大的兒子。這樹已被火燒，被刀割；願敵人因你臉上的叱責而滅亡。

那栽培你的、萬軍之永恆主、已經宣說要降災禍懲罰你，是因以色列家和猶大家的壞事，就是他們所愛行、來向巴力燻祭，以惹我發怒的。』

永恆主就後悔造了人在地上，心中憂傷。永恆主說：『我要將我所創造的人類、都從地上擦滅：無論人類獸類或爬行動物，以及空中的飛鳥，都要擦滅，因為我後悔造了他們。』

他刨挖了園子，撿去石頭，栽種了上好的葡萄樹；在園中建造了一座守望樓，又鑿出一個酒池；指望着它結好葡萄，反倒結了野葡萄。如今呢、耶路撒冷的居民和猶大人哪，在我和我的葡萄園之間斷定是非吧！我為我的葡萄園所能作的、還有甚麼沒有作到呢？我指望着它結好葡萄，它為甚麼倒結了野葡萄呢？如今我告訴你們我要怎樣處理我的葡萄園。我要把它的籬笆撤去，使它被吞喫；我要把它的圍牆拆個破口，使它被踐踏。我要使它荒廢，不再修整，不再鋤刨，蒺藜荊棘倒要長起來；我也要吩咐雲彩、別降雨在園子上。原來萬軍之永恆主的葡萄園就是以色列家；他所喜悅栽種的樹就是猶大人；他指望的是公平，唉，倒發生了殺人流血！他指望的是公義，唉，倒來了哀叫聲！
