彼訕笑天主之使者、藐視其言、侮辱侮辱或作譏諷其先知、故主震怒其民、不復援之、

第我民不聽從我言、以色列人不肯歸順我、我即任其心中剛愎、聽其隨意而行、我民若肯聽從我、以色列人若肯遵行我道、

惟彼不從、背逆頑梗、塞耳不聽、剛愎厥心、同於金剛石、不聽律法、不聽萬有之主、以其神藉古先知所諭之之言、或作剛愎其心同於金剛石不聽律法不聽萬有之主以其神藉古先知諭彼惟彼不聽其言故萬有之主震怒特甚、

我已賜彼悔改淫行之機、彼仍不悔改、我必加之以疾、偃臥於床、其與彼行淫者、若不悔改所行、我必降之大災、

彼先祖不肯聽我言、乃效其尤、從他神而事之、以色列族及猶大族、背我與其祖所立之約、

嗟呼、爾未聽我命、若聽之、則爾之平康、如河之流、爾之福澤、福澤或作仁義如海之浪、

彼不順從、不傾耳以聽、各縱惡欲、剛愎自用、不遵守我所命之約、我已降罰、循約所言、
