我们记得，在埃及的时候不花钱就吃鱼，也记得有黄瓜、西瓜、韭菜、葱、蒜。现在我们的心血枯竭了，除这吗哪以外，在我们眼前并没有别的东西。”

这一切犹大人就从所赶到的各处回来，到犹大地的米斯巴基大利那里，又积蓄了许多的酒，并夏天的果子。

他们对神说：‘离开我们吧！我们不愿晓得你的道。全能者是谁，我们何必侍奉他呢？’求告他有什么益处呢？

他们的口亵渎上天；他们的舌毁谤全地。所以神的民归到这里，喝尽了满杯的苦水。他们说：“神怎能晓得？至高者岂有知识呢？”看哪，这就是恶人；他们既是常享安逸，财宝便加增。我实在徒然洁净了我的心，徒然洗手表明无辜。因为，我终日遭灾难；每早晨受惩治。我若说，“我要这样讲”，这就是以奸诈待你的众子。
