We will certainly do everything we said we would: We will burn incense to the Queen of Heaven and will pour out drink offerings to her just as we and our ancestors, our kings and our officials did in the towns of Judah and in the streets of Jerusalem. At that time we had plenty of food and were well off and suffered no harm.

We will certainly do everything we said we would. We’ll burn incense to the female god called the Queen of Heaven. We’ll pour out drink offerings to her. We’ll do just as we and our people of long ago have done. Our kings and our officials also did it. All of us did it in the towns of Judah and the streets of Jerusalem. At that time we had plenty of food. We were well off. We didn’t suffer any harm.

But we will do everything that we have vowed, make offerings to the queen of heaven and pour out drink offerings to her, as we did, both we and our fathers, our kings and our officials, in the cities of Judah and in the streets of Jerusalem. For then we had plenty of food, and prospered, and saw no disaster.

We will do whatever we want. We will burn incense and pour out liquid offerings to the Queen of Heaven just as much as we like— just as we, and our ancestors, and our kings and officials have always done in the towns of Judah and in the streets of Jerusalem. For in those days we had plenty to eat, and we were well off and had no troubles!

Instead, we will do everything we promised: we will burn incense to the queen of heaven and offer drink offerings to her just as we, our ancestors, our kings, and our officials did in Judah’s cities and in Jerusalem’s streets. Then we had enough food, we were well off, and we saw no disaster,

But we will certainly carry out every word that has proceeded from our mouths, by burning sacrifices to the queen of heaven and pouring out drink offerings to her, just as we ourselves, our forefathers, our kings, and our leaders did in the cities of Judah and in the streets of Jerusalem; for then we had plenty of food and were well off and saw no misfortune.

But we will certainly do whatever has gone out of our own mouth, to burn incense to the queen of heaven and pour out drink offerings to her, as we have done, we and our fathers, our kings and our princes, in the cities of Judah and in the streets of Jerusalem. 孩子捡柴，父亲烧火，妇女抟面做饼，献给天后，又向别神浇奠祭，惹我发怒。”

我们的君王、首领、祭司、列祖都不遵守你的律法，不听从你的诫命和你警戒他们的话。

你嘴里所出的，就是你口中应许甘心所献的，要照你向耶和华你神所许的愿谨守遵行。

他们的母亲行了淫乱，怀他们的母做了可羞耻的事，因为她说：‘我要随从所爱的；我的饼、水、羊毛、麻、油、酒都是他们给的。’因此，我必用荆棘堵塞她的道，筑墙挡住她，使她找不着路。她必追随所爱的，却追不上；她必寻找他们，却寻不见，便说：‘我要归回前夫，因我那时的光景比如今还好。’她不知道是我给她五谷、新酒，和油，又加增她的金银；她却以此供奉巴力。因此到了收割的日子，出酒的时候，我必将我的五谷、新酒收回，也必将她应当遮体的羊毛和麻夺回来。

说：“巴不得我们早死在埃及地、耶和华的手下；那时我们坐在肉锅旁边，吃得饱足。你们将我们领出来，到这旷野，是要叫这全会众都饿死啊！”

万军之耶和华以色列的神如此说：你们和你们的妻都口中说、手里做，说：‘我们定要偿还所许的愿，向天后烧香、浇奠祭。’现在你们只管坚定所许的愿而偿还吧！

丈夫听见的日子，若把这两样全废了，妇人口中所许的愿或是约束自己的话就都不得为定，因她丈夫已经把这两样废了；耶和华也必赦免她。

离弃耶和华他们神的一切诫命，为自己铸了两个牛犊的像，立了亚舍拉，敬拜天上的万象，侍奉巴力，

他女儿回答说：“父啊，你既向耶和华开口，就当照你口中所说的向我行，因耶和华已经在仇敌亚扪人身上为你报仇”；

“你们与你们列祖、君王、首领，并国内的百姓，在犹大城邑中和耶路撒冷街市上所烧的香，耶和华岂不记念，心中岂不思想吗？

耶路撒冷的房屋和犹大君王的宫殿是已经被玷污的，就是他们在其上向天上的万象烧香、向别神浇奠祭的宫殿房屋，都必与陀斐特一样。’”

他们的结局就是沉沦；他们的神就是自己的肚腹。他们以自己的羞辱为荣耀，专以地上的事为念。

他们却悖逆我，不肯听从我，不抛弃他们眼所喜爱那可憎之物，不离弃埃及的偶像。“我就说，我要将我的忿怒倾在他们身上，在埃及地向他们成就我怒中所定的。

所以，我从古时将这事给你说明，在未成以先指示你，免得你说：‘这些事是我的偶像所行的，是我雕刻的偶像和我铸造的偶像所命定的。’

王就甚忧愁；但因他所起的誓，又因同席的人，就不肯推辞，

人若向耶和华许愿或起誓，要约束自己，就不可食言，必要按口中所出的一切话行。

他们曾说：“我们必能以舌头得胜；我们的嘴唇是我们自己的，谁能作我们的主呢？”

我们与我们的祖宗一同犯罪；我们作了孽，行了恶。

因为他们离弃我，向别神烧香，用他们手所做的惹我发怒，所以我的忿怒必向这地发作，总不止息。’

你们列祖的恶行，犹大列王和他们后妃的恶行，你们自己和你们妻子的恶行，就是在犹大地、耶路撒冷街上所行的，你们都忘了吗？

攻城的迦勒底人必来放火焚烧这城和其中的房屋。在这房屋上，人曾向巴力烧香，向别神浇奠，惹我发怒。以色列人和犹大人自从幼年以来，专行我眼中看为恶的事；以色列人尽以手所做的惹我发怒。这是耶和华说的。这城自从建造的那日直到今日，常惹我的怒气和忿怒，使我将这城从我面前除掉；是因以色列人和犹大人一切的邪恶，就是他们和他们的君王、首领、祭司、先知，并犹大的众人，以及耶路撒冷的居民所行的，惹我发怒。

知道你们得赎，脱去你们祖宗所传流虚妄的行为，不是凭着能坏的金银等物，

我们犯罪作孽，行恶叛逆，偏离你的诫命典章，没有听从你仆人众先知奉你名向我们君王、首领、列祖，和国中一切百姓所说的话。主啊，你是公义的，我们是脸上蒙羞的；因我们犹大人和耶路撒冷的居民，并以色列众人，或在近处，或在远处，被你赶到各国的人，都得罪了你，正如今日一样。主啊，我们和我们的君王、首领、列祖因得罪了你，就都脸上蒙羞。
