暗利用二他連得銀子向撒瑪買了撒瑪利亞山，在山上建城，按着山的原主撒瑪的名，給所建的城起名叫撒瑪利亞。

以色列全會眾都聚集在示羅，把會幕設立在那裏。那地已經被他們征服了。

「你們是耶和華－你們上帝的兒女。不可為了死人割劃自己，也不可使額上光禿；

羅波安往示劍去，因以色列眾人都到了示劍，要立他作王。

雅各從巴旦‧亞蘭平安地回到迦南地的示劍城，他在城的前面支搭帳棚。

猶大王亞撒第三十八年，暗利的兒子亞哈登基作以色列王。暗利的兒子亞哈在撒瑪利亞作以色列王二十二年。

耶戶遇見猶大王亞哈謝的兄弟，說：「你們是誰？」他們說：「我們是亞哈謝的兄弟，現在下去要向王和太后的眾兒子問安。」耶戶說：「活捉他們！」人就活捉了他們，把他們殺在伯‧艾克特的坑邊，共四十二人，一個也沒有留下。

頭的周圍不可剃，鬍鬚的周圍不可損壞。不可為死人割劃自己的身體，也不可在身上刺花紋。我是耶和華。

那地的族長希未人哈抹的兒子示劍看見她，就拉住她，與她同寢，玷辱了她。

你的僕人們喜愛錫安的石頭，憐憫它的塵土。

哈嫩就抓住大衛的臣僕，把他們的鬍鬚剃去一半，又割斷他們下半截的袍子，露出下體，然後放了他們。

所以我要向這稱為我名下、你們所倚靠的殿，與我所賜給你們和你們祖先的地這樣行，正如我從前向示羅所行的。

以色列人把從埃及所帶來約瑟的骸骨安葬在示劍，就是雅各從前用一百可錫塔向示劍的父親哈抹的眾子所買的那塊地；這塊地就成了約瑟子孫的產業。

你們到我的地方示羅去，就是我先前在那裏立為我名的居所，察看我因這百姓以色列的罪惡向那地方所行的事。
