The word came to Jeremiah from the Lord after Nebuzaradan commander of the imperial guard had released him at Ramah. He had found Jeremiah bound in chains among all the captives from Jerusalem and Judah who were being carried into exile to Babylon.

A message from the Lord came to Jeremiah. It came after Nebuzaradan, the commander of the royal guard, had set him free at Ramah. Jeremiah was being held by chains when Nebuzaradan found him. Jeremiah was among all the prisoners from Jerusalem and Judah. They were being taken to Babylon.

希律要提他出來的前一夜，彼得被兩條鎖鍊鎖住，睡在兩個士兵中間，還有衛兵守在門前。忽然，有主的一位使者出現，牢房裡就光芒四射。天使拍拍彼得的肋旁，喚醒他，說：“快起來！”他手上的鎖鍊就脫落了。

保羅卻回答：“你們為甚麼哭，使我心碎呢？我為主耶穌的名，不但被捆綁，就算死在耶路撒冷我也都準備好了。”

因此，我請你們來見面談談。我原是為了以色列的盼望，才帶上這條鎖鍊的。”

（我為這奧祕作了被捆鎖的使者），也使我按著應當說的，放膽宣講這福音的奧祕。

又有基遍、拉瑪、比錄、

然後，他回到拉瑪，因為他的家在那裡。他也在那裡治理以色列人，並且在那裡為耶和華築了一座祭壇。

因為他打破了銅門，砍斷了鐵閂。

巴比倫王尼布甲尼撒提到耶利米，吩咐護衛長尼布撒拉旦說：“你把他帶去，好好照顧他，切不可傷害他；他對你怎樣說，你就給他照辦。”於是護衛長尼布撒拉旦、大臣（“大臣”的本意不明確）尼布沙斯班、術士長（“術士長”的本意不明確）尼甲．沙利薛，以及巴比倫王所有的大臣都派人去，把耶利米從衛兵的院子裡提出來，交給沙番的孫子、亞希甘的兒子基大利，叫他帶耶利米回家去。這樣，耶利米就住在人民中間。

神使孤獨的有家可居住；領被囚的出來，到豐盛之處；唯有悖逆的住在乾旱之地。
