我四下觀看，只見良田變荒野，城邑都在耶和華的烈怒下淪為廢墟。

我观看，不料，肥田变为荒地；一切城邑在耶和华面前，因他的烈怒都被拆毁。”

我又觀之、見沃田成為荒野、諸邑毀於耶和華烈怒之前、

良田荒蕪、城邑傾圮、蓋耶和華涖臨、其怒殊烈。

見良田荒蕪、其諸城邑傾圮於主前、皆因主之烈怒、

I looked, and the fruitful land was a desert; all its towns lay in ruins before the Lord, before his fierce anger.

I looked. And the fruitful land had become a desert. All its towns were destroyed. The Lord had done all this because of his great anger.

I looked, and behold, the fruitful land was a desert, and all its cities were laid in ruins before the Lord, before his fierce anger.

I looked, and the fertile fields had become a wilderness. The towns lay in ruins, crushed by the Lord’s fierce anger.

I looked, and the fertile field was a wilderness. All its cities were torn down because of the LORD and his burning anger.

叫沃土變成荒涼的鹽鹼地，因為那裡的居民邪惡。

所以，因你們的緣故，錫安必像田地被耕犁，耶路撒冷必淪為廢墟，聖殿山必成為荒林之岡。

我親耳聽到萬軍之耶和華說：「許多富麗堂皇的房屋必荒廢，無人居住。三十畝葡萄園只產二十升酒，二百公斤種子只產二十公斤糧食。」

那時，主必使用幼發拉底河對岸的亞述王來毀滅你們，就像用租來的剃刀剃光你們的頭髮、鬍鬚和身上的汗毛。「那時，一個人將養活一頭母牛和兩隻羊。因出產的奶豐富，他就有乳酪吃，境內剩下的人都將吃乳酪和蜂蜜。那時，本來有千株葡萄、價值千金的園子必長滿荊棘和蒺藜，人們必帶著弓箭去打獵，因為遍地長滿了荊棘和蒺藜。你因懼怕荊棘和蒺藜，將不再去從前用鋤頭開墾的山地，那裡將成為牧放牛羊的地方。」

遍地將是硫磺和鹽，無法耕種，寸草不生，如同耶和華盛怒之下毀滅的所多瑪、蛾摩拉、押瑪和洗扁。萬國必問，『耶和華為什麼要這樣對待這地方？祂為什麼大發烈怒？』必有人回答說，『因為這地方的人背棄了他們祖先的上帝耶和華領他們出埃及時與他們所立的約，去供奉、祭拜他們所不認識、並非耶和華所分派的神明。因此，耶和華向這片土地發怒，把這書上的一切咒詛都降在這裡。耶和華盛怒之下把他們從這地方連根拔起，扔到別的地方，正如今日的情形。』

「猶大充滿悲泣，她的城邑衰敗，人人坐在地上痛哭，耶路撒冷哀鳴四起。貴族派僕人去水池打水，僕人去那裡發現沒有水，就帶著空瓶垂頭喪氣、羞愧難當地回去了。天不下雨，土地乾裂，農夫沮喪地抱著頭。因為沒有草，田野的母鹿拋棄了剛生下來的小鹿；因為沒有草，野驢站在光禿的山頭上像豺狼一樣喘氣，雙目無神。」

唯有你當受敬畏。你發怒的時候，誰能在你面前站立呢？

大地哀慟、田野的植物枯槁要到何時呢？由於這地方居民的罪惡，野獸和飛鳥都滅絕了。他們說：「上帝看不見我們的行為。」
