災患之凶報、絡繹不絕、通國已敗、我幕突毀、我帷傾於俄頃、

Disaster follows disaster; the whole land lies in ruins. In an instant my tents are destroyed, my shelter in a moment.

One trouble follows another. The whole land is destroyed. In an instant my tents are gone. My home disappears in a moment.

Crash follows hard on crash; the whole land is laid waste. Suddenly my tents are laid waste, my curtains in a moment.

Waves of destruction roll over the land, until it lies in complete desolation. Suddenly my tents are destroyed; in a moment my shelters are crushed.

Her king and her leaders live among the nations, instruction is no more, and even her prophets receive no vision from the LORD.

We have experienced panic and pitfall, devastation and destruction.”

Let my persecutors be put to shame, but don’t let me be put to shame. Let them be terrified, but don’t let me be terrified. Bring on them the day of disaster; shatter them with total destruction.

“ Separate yourselves from this community so I may consume them instantly.”

Wail! For the day of the LORD is near. It will come as destruction from the Almighty.

Blessed be his glorious name forever; the whole earth is filled with his glory. Amen and amen.

These two things will happen to you suddenly, in one day: loss of children and widowhood. They will happen to you in their entirety, in spite of your many sorceries and the potency of your spells.

then I will act with hostility toward you; I also will strike you seven times for your sins.

Woe because of that day! For the day of the LORD is near and will come as devastation from the Almighty.

“ If you act with hostility toward me and are unwilling to obey me, I will multiply your plagues seven times for your sins.

Anguish is coming! They will look for peace, but there will be none.Disaster after disaster will come, and there will be rumor after rumor. Then they will look for a vision from a prophet, but instruction will perish from the priests and counsel from the elders.

“ Enlarge the site of your tent, and let your tent curtains be stretched out; do not hold back; lengthen your ropes, and drive your pegs deep.

Look at Zion, the city of our festival times. Your eyes will see Jerusalem, a peaceful pasture, a tent that does not wander; its tent pegs will not be pulled up nor will any of its cords be loosened.
