I said,“ Oh no, Lord GOD, you have certainly deceived this people and Jerusalem, by announcing,‘ You will have peace,’ while a sword is at our throats.”

我说：“哀哉！主耶和华啊，你真是大大地欺哄这百姓和耶路撒冷，说：‘你们必得平安。’其实刀剑害及性命了。”

我说：“哀哉！主耶和华啊，你真是大大欺哄这百姓和耶路撒冷，说：‘你们必得平安。’其实刀剑已经抵住喉咙了！”

我说：“哀哉！主耶和华啊，你真是大大欺哄这百姓和耶路撒冷，说：‘你们必得平安。’其实刀剑已经抵住喉咙了！”

我说：“唉！主耶和华啊，你完全欺骗了这群百姓和耶路撒冷人，因为你说，‘你们会安享太平。’其实剑锋已指着他们的咽喉了。”

于是我说：“噢！主耶和华啊！你真的欺骗了这人民，也欺骗了耶路撒冷，说：‘你们必平安无事’，其实刀剑已经架在颈项上了！”

我說：「哀哉！主耶和華啊，你真是大大地欺哄這百姓和耶路撒冷，說：『你們必得平安。』其實刀劍害及性命了。」

我說：「哀哉！主耶和華啊，你真是大大欺哄這百姓和耶路撒冷，說：『你們必得平安。』其實刀劍已經抵住喉嚨了！」

我說：「哀哉！主耶和華啊，你真是大大欺哄這百姓和耶路撒冷，說：『你們必得平安。』其實刀劍已經抵住喉嚨了！」

我說：「唉！主耶和華啊，你完全欺騙了這群百姓和耶路撒冷人，因為你說，『你們會安享太平。』其實劍鋒已指著他們的咽喉了。」

於是我說：“噢！主耶和華啊！你真的欺騙了這人民，也欺騙了耶路撒冷，說：‘你們必平安無事’，其實刀劍已經架在頸項上了！”

他們必說：「哀啊，主永恆主啊，你真是大大欺騙了這人民和耶路撒冷，說：「你們必得平安無事」；其實刀劍竟害及了他們的性命了。』

我曰、噫、主耶和華歟、爾欺斯民、及耶路撒冷甚矣、謂之曰、爾曹必獲安康、而刃乃害其命、

耶利米曰、主耶和華與、爾曾告耶路撒冷民曰、可得平康。今反飲刃、害及生命、言既不應、寧非欺予。

我耶利米曰、哀哉、主天主歟、主任人欺斯民及耶路撒冷人曰、爾曹必得平康、今反鋒刃害及生命矣、

Then I said,“ Alas, Sovereign Lord! How completely you have deceived this people and Jerusalem by saying,‘ You will have peace,’ when the sword is at our throats!”

Then I said,“ You are my Lord and King. You have completely tricked the people of Judah and Jerusalem! You have told them,‘ You will have peace and rest.’ But swords are pointed at our throats!”

Then I said,“ Ah, Lord God, surely you have utterly deceived this people and Jerusalem, saying,‘ It shall be well with you,’ whereas the sword has reached their very life.”

Then I said,“ O Sovereign Lord, the people have been deceived by what you said, for you promised peace for Jerusalem. But the sword is held at their throats!”

Then I said,“ Oh, Lord God! Surely You have utterly deceived this people and Jerusalem, saying,‘ You will have peace’; yet a sword touches the throat.”

Then I said,“ Ah, Lord GOD! Surely You have greatly deceived this people and Jerusalem, Saying,‘ You shall have peace,’ Whereas the sword reaches to the heart.”

Then said I, Ah, Lord Jehovah! surely thou hast greatly deceived this people and Jerusalem, saying, Ye shall have peace; whereas the sword reacheth unto the life.

I said,“ Oh no, Lord God, You have certainly deceived this people and Jerusalem, by announcing,‘ You will have peace,’ while a sword is at our throats.”

Then said I, Ah, Lord GOD! surely thou hast greatly deceived this people and Jerusalem, saying, Ye shall have peace; whereas the sword reacheth unto the soul.

In response to all this I said,“ Ah, Lord GOD, you have surely allowed the people of Judah and Jerusalem to be deceived by those who say,‘ You will be safe!’ But in fact a sword is already at our throats.”

Then I said,“ Ah, Lord Yahweh! Surely you have greatly deceived this people and Jerusalem, saying,‘ You will have peace;’ whereas the sword reaches to the heart.”

They have contradicted the LORD and insisted,“ It won’t happen. Harm won’t come to us; we won’t see sword or famine.”

Now while I was prophesying, Pelatiah son of Benaiah died. Then I fell facedown and cried out loudly,“ Oh, Lord GOD! You are bringing the remnant of Israel to an end!”

For this reason God delivered them over to disgraceful passions. Their women exchanged natural sexual relations for unnatural ones.

I will defend this city and rescue it for my sake and for the sake of my servant David.”

They have treated the brokenness of my dear people superficially, claiming,‘ Peace, peace,’ when there is no peace.

Why, LORD, do you make us stray from your ways? You harden our hearts so we do not fear you. Return, because of your servants, the tribes of your heritage.

For this time I am about to send all my plagues against you, your officials, and your people. Then you will know there is no one like me on the whole earth.

And the LORD said,‘ Who will entice Ahab to march up and fall at Ramoth-gilead?’ So one was saying this and another was saying that.“ Then a spirit came forward, stood in the LORD’s presence, and said,‘ I will entice him.’“ The LORD asked him,‘ How?’“ He said,‘ I will go and become a lying spirit in the mouth of all his prophets.’“ Then he said,‘ You will certainly entice him and prevail. Go and do that.’“ You see, the LORD has put a lying spirit into the mouth of all these prophets of yours, and the LORD has pronounced disaster against you.”

Oh, Lord GOD! You yourself made the heavens and earth by your great power and with your outstretched arm. Nothing is too difficult for you!

They say to the seers,“ Do not see,” and to the prophets,“ Do not prophesy the truth to us. Tell us flattering things. Prophesy illusions.

The coming of the lawless one is based on Satan’s working, with every kind of miracle, both signs and wonders serving the lie,and with every wicked deception among those who are perishing. They perish because they did not accept the love of the truth and so be saved.For this reason God sends them a strong delusion so that they will believe the lie,so that all will be condemned— those who did not believe the truth but delighted in unrighteousness.

“‘ But if the prophet is deceived and speaks a message, it was I, the LORD, who deceived that prophet. I will stretch out my hand against him and destroy him from among my people Israel.They will bear their punishment— the punishment of the one who inquires will be the same as that of the prophet—

And I replied,“ Oh no, Lord GOD! The prophets are telling them,‘ You won’t see sword or suffer famine. I will certainly give you lasting peace in this place.’”But the LORD said to me,“ These prophets are prophesying a lie in my name. I did not send them, nor did I command them or speak to them. They are prophesying to you a false vision, worthless divination, the deceit of their own minds.

Your way and your actions have brought this on you. This is your punishment. It is very bitter, because it has reached your heart!

But I protested,“ Oh no, Lord GOD! Look, I don’t know how to speak since I am only a youth.”

They have treated my people’s brokenness superficially, claiming,“ Peace, peace,” when there is no peace.

And because they did not think it worthwhile to acknowledge God, God delivered them over to a corrupt mind so that they do what is not right.

Both young and old are lying on the ground in the streets. My young women and young men have fallen by the sword. You have killed them in the day of your anger, slaughtering without compassion.

They keep on saying to those who despise me,‘ The LORD has spoken: You will have peace.’ They have said to everyone who follows the stubbornness of his heart,‘ No harm will come to you.’”

Therefore God delivered them over in the desires of their hearts to sexual impurity, so that their bodies were degraded among themselves.
