Nebuzaradan commander of the imperial guard carried into exile to Babylon the people who remained in the city, along with those who had gone over to him, and the rest of the people.

Nebuzaradan was commander of the royal guard. Some people still remained in the city. But he took them away to Babylon as prisoners. He also took along those who had gone over to his side. And he took the rest of the people.

Then Nebuzaradan, the captain of the guard, carried into exile to Babylon the rest of the people who were left in the city, those who had deserted to him, and the people who remained.

五月十日、就是巴比倫王尼布甲尼撒王十九年、侍立在巴比倫王面前的護衛長尼布撒拉旦來到耶路撒冷。他把永恆主的殿和王的宮室都燒掉，也燒了耶路撒冷一切的房屋，連大幢的房屋都放火燒。耶路撒冷四圍所有的城牆、那跟從護衛長的迦勒底人軍隊都給拆毁了。城裏剩下的餘民、和那些投降了巴比倫王的人、以及餘剩的大眾或匠人、護衛長尼布撒拉旦、都使他們流亡了去。但是護衛長仍然將猶大地最貧寒的一些人留下來做修理葡萄園和種地的人。

城裏剩下的餘民、和那些投降了巴比倫王的人、以及其餘的蜂擁眾人、護衛長尼布撒拉旦都擄了去過流亡的生活。

護衛長尼布撒拉旦將這些人帶到利比拉巴比倫王那裏。

故此我的人民因無知而流亡；他們的尊貴人餓得要死；他們的大眾乾渴得要命。

因此我必將你們從這地拋擲出去，直拋到你們素不認識的地，你們和你們列祖都不認識的；在那裏你們儘可以晝夜事奉別的神啊！因為我必不向你們施恩。」

因為永恆主這麼說：看吧，我必使你和一切友愛你的人都覺得恐怖；他們必倒斃在他們的仇敵刀下，你必親眼看見。我必將猶大人全交在巴比倫王手中；他必使他們流亡到巴比倫去，用刀擊殺他們。我必將這城的一切資財、一切勞碌得來的、它的一切珍寶、和猶大列王的一切寶物、都交在他們仇敵手中；仇敵必將這一切當作掠物，帶到巴比倫去。你呢、巴施戶珥啊，你和一切住在你家的人、也必被擄而去，你和一切友愛你的，就是你向他們傳假神言的那些人。你要去的是巴比倫；你就是必死在那裏，必埋葬在那裏。』

但是護衛長尼布撒拉旦仍將人民中一些毫無所有的窮人留在猶大地，同時也給他們葡萄園和耕種地。至於耶利米呢、巴比倫王則下了命令、由護衛長尼布撒拉旦經手辦理，說：『你帶他去，好好地照應他，怎樣都不可害他；他對你怎麼說，你就怎樣給他辦好啦。』於是護衛長尼布撒拉旦、和尼布沙斯班、要人首領、尼甲沙利薛、貴族首領、以及巴比倫王所有的首領、就打發了人。他們打發了人去，將耶利米從護衛監的院子提出來，交與沙番的孫子亞希甘的兒子基大利，使他帶出去到家裏。於是耶利米就住在人民中間。

我必使你們四散於外國中，我必拔刀來追趕你們，你們的地就荒涼，你們的城市就荒廢。

以下是尼布甲尼撒使人民流亡的數目：在他的第七年有猶大人三千零二十三名；尼布甲尼撒十八年從耶路撒冷使八百三十二人流亡；尼布甲尼撒二十三年、護衛長尼布撒拉旦使猶大人七百四十五名流亡；總共四千六百人。

並且從你本身出的、就是你所生的、子孫中、也必有人被拿去，在巴比倫王宮裏當太監。』

永恆主必使你們分散於萬族之民中；在永恆主所要領你們到的列國中、你們剩下的人數必稀少。
