其言曰、仍居邑中者、必戮以鋒刃、因以饑饉、重以疫癘、惟出邑歸誠迦勒底人者、生命可保。

“耶和华如此说：住在这城里的必遭刀剑、饥荒、瘟疫而死；但出去归降迦勒底人的必得存活，就是以自己命为掠物的，必得存活。

主如是云、凡仍居斯邑者、必亡於鋒刃、饑饉、疫癘、惟出邑降迦勒底人者、必得生、得保全其生命、

“ This is what the Lord says:‘ Whoever stays in this city will die by the sword, famine or plague, but whoever goes over to the Babylonians will live. They will escape with their lives; they will live.’

“ The Lord says,‘ Those who stay in this city will die of war, hunger or plague. But those who go over to the side of the Babylonians will live. They will escape with their lives. They will remain alive.’

“ Thus says the Lord: He who stays in this city shall die by the sword, by famine, and by pestilence, but he who goes out to the Chaldeans shall live. He shall have his life as a prize of war, and live.

“ This is what the Lord says:‘ Everyone who stays in Jerusalem will die from war, famine, or disease, but those who surrender to the Babylonians will live. Their reward will be life. They will live!’

“ This is what the LORD says:‘ Whoever stays in this city will die by the sword, famine, and plague, but whoever surrenders to the Chaldeans will live. He will retain his life like the spoils of war and will live.’

“ This is what the Lord says:‘ Anyone who stays in this city will die by the sword, by famine, or by plague; but anyone who surrenders to the Chaldeans will live and have his own life as plunder, and stay alive.’

“ Thus says the Lord:‘ He who remains in this city shall die by the sword, by famine, and by pestilence; but he who goes over to the Chaldeans shall live; his life shall be as a prize to him, and he shall live.’

Thus saith Jehovah, He that abideth in this city shall die by the sword, by the famine, and by the pestilence; but he that goeth forth to the Chaldeans shall live, and his life shall be unto him for a prey, and he shall live.

“ This is what the Lord says:‘ Whoever stays in this city will die by the sword, famine, and plague, but whoever surrenders to the Chaldeans will live. He will keep his life like the spoils of war and will live.’

Thus saith the LORD, He that remaineth in this city shall die by the sword, by the famine, and by the pestilence: but he that goeth forth to the Chaldeans shall live; for he shall have his life for a prey, and shall live.

“ The LORD says,‘ Those who stay in this city will die in battle or of starvation or disease. Those who leave the city and surrender to the Babylonians will live. They will escape with their lives.’”

“ Yahweh says,‘ He who remains in this city will die by the sword, by the famine, and by the pestilence; but he who goes out to the Chaldeans will live, and he will escape with his life, and he will live.’

故耶和華曰、我有所命、爾不聽從、同儕同族、爾不縱之。則我必縱鋒刃以戮爾、縱饑饉以斃爾、縱疫癘以亡爾、散爾於列邦。

爾惟我是賴、我手援爾、救爾生命、免於鋒刃、我耶和華已言之矣。

爾勿為己圖維大事、蓋我耶和華必降災於億兆、惟爾隨在可往、得救生命、我使之然。

凡定志必往埃及、欲居於彼、必遇鋒刃、饑饉、癘疫、而亡、我既降災、必不得免、靡有孑遺。

則有乘赤馬而往者、授以巨刃、使天下不平、俾人相殺、羔啟三緘、又見一靈物、曰、來觀、則有乘玄馬者、手執權衡、我聞靈物中有聲云、金一錢、得麥二斤二兩、大麥六斤六兩、酒與油如故、羔啟四緘、又見一靈物曰、來觀、則有乘灰色馬者、名曰、能死人、幽冥踵其後、彼蒙賜權、得以鋒刃、饑饉、疾疫、猛獸、殺人四分去一、

必使爾於欲往居處之地、遇鋒刃、饑饉、疫癘而亡、爾當知之、無庸疑惑。

民將攻民、國亦攻國、饑疫地震、隨在皆然、此菑害之始也、

昔我罰耶路撒冷居民、戮之以鋒刃、因之以饑饉、重之以疫癘、我加刑乎居埃及者、亦若是。

耶和華曾言、凡諸邦國、不肯服事巴比倫王、必以鋒刃、饑饉、瘟疫、使之淪喪今汝與民、何為自取死亡。

惟彼劣果、不堪適口、可比猶大王西底家、以及牧伯、耶路撒冷居民、斯土之遺眾、暨旅於埃及者。

既以斯三者降罰其身、又必徙於天下萬邦、受人咒詛、不勝駭異、為人凌侮、時聞怨聲、

耶利米乃奏西底家曰、萬有之主、以色列族之上帝耶和華云、如爾出邑、歸誠巴比倫王牧伯、則爾一家生命可保、斯邑不遭焚燬。不然迦勒底人必焚此城、爾亦不能脫於其手。西底家王告耶利米曰、猶大人已先歸誠於迦勒底人、我甚恐、若彼委我於猶大人、使凌辱予、則奈何。耶利米曰迦勒底人必不委爾於彼、惟我所傳耶和華之命、爾其聽從、則可保生命、而納福祉。如爾不出、則耶和華所示之言、更為王誦之。猶大王宮所遺之女、必曳之出、至巴比倫王牧伯所、此女必訕爾云、爾之良朋誘爾、爾受其欺、見爾陷阱、不顧而逃。人將曳爾妻子、見迦勒底人、爾亦不能脫其手、必為巴比倫王所獲、斯邑必焚以火、皆爾自取。

主耶和華又曰、我使四災降於耶路撒冷、鋒刃、饑饉、暴獸、瘟疫、使人畜靡有孑遺、其害豈非尤重乎。

耶和華又告民曰、今日我以生道死道、置於爾前、凡居斯邑者、必遇鋒刃饑饉、瘟疫而亡。凡出邑外、歸誠所攻爾之迦勒底人者、則得保其生命。

爾民三分之一、必亡於瘟疫饑饉、三分之一、必亡於鋒刃、三分之一、必散於四方、我亦襲之以白刃、怒既奮發、則雪予忿、使爾知予所言者、因熱中而言之、所行者、因憤烈而行之。我使爾國荒涼、如是之甚、四周列邦及過爾地者、無不駭異、共相姍笑。我怒憤烈、降以重災、使四方之民譏笑侮慢、以爾之事為可戒可異、我耶和華已言之矣。俾爾饑饉、日漸匱乏、絶爾餱糧、滅爾生命、如亡以毒矢、不第降以饑饉、亦使暴獸攘爾子女、又使瘟疫鋒刃、臨於爾邦、耶和華已言之矣。

外有鋒刃、內有瘟疫饑饉、在田者亡於鋒刃、在邑者亡於饑饉瘟疫。

主耶和華謂先知曰、爾當敢掌頓足云、以色列族多行不義、深堪痛疾、必遇鋒刃、饑饉疫癘而亡、
