King Zedekiah then gave orders for Jeremiah to be placed in the courtyard of the guard and given a loaf of bread from the street of the bakers each day until all the bread in the city was gone. So Jeremiah remained in the courtyard of the guard.

So King Zedekiah commanded that Jeremiah not be returned to the dungeon. Instead, he was imprisoned in the courtyard of the guard in the royal palace. The king also commanded that Jeremiah be given a loaf of fresh bread every day as long as there was any left in the city. So Jeremiah was put in the palace prison.

So King Zedekiah gave orders, and Jeremiah was placed in the guard’s courtyard. He was given a loaf of bread each day from the bakers’ street until all the bread was gone from the city. So Jeremiah remained in the guard’s courtyard.

Then King Zedekiah gave a command, and they placed Jeremiah in custody in the courtyard of the guardhouse, and gave him a loaf of bread daily from the bakers’ street, until all the bread in the city was gone. So Jeremiah remained in the courtyard of the guardhouse.

Then Zedekiah the king commanded that they should commit Jeremiah to the court of the prison, and that they should give him daily a piece of bread from the bakers’ street, until all the bread in the city was gone. Thus Jeremiah remained in the court of the prison.

Then King Zedekiah ordered that Jeremiah be committed to the courtyard of the guardhouse. He also ordered that a loaf of bread be given to him every day from the baker’s street until all the bread in the city was gone. So Jeremiah was kept in the courtyard of the guardhouse.

Then Zedekiah the king commanded, and they committed Jeremiah into the court of the guard. They gave him daily a loaf of bread out of the bakers’ street, until all the bread in the city was gone. Thus Jeremiah remained in the court of the guard.

厥後耶路撒冷被陷之日、時耶利米猶在外獄。

於是人以繩曳耶利米、出之於井、使居外獄。

我王與、我主與、有人作不端、下先知耶利米於眢井、在邑內食且無餅、況在井中、有不饑而死乎。

當時巴比倫王帥師、圍耶路撒冷、先知耶利米幽於外獄、在猶大王宮側、

四月九日、邑民糧罄饑甚。

彼居高巖險隘、以得範衛、餱糧不缺其供、水泉無虞其乏、

饑時救爾死亡、戰時免爾刀鋸、

寅畏耶和華、望其矜憫者、必蒙垂顧兮、免於殺戮、救於饑饉兮、

彼得拘幽於獄、教會為之切祈上帝、

惟上帝之國與義是求、則此物自加諸爾、

保羅居自賃之屋二年、凡來見者受之、

是以我為基督使、雖繫鐵索、得侃侃言、如所當言、

夜未央兮、當起號呼、更初屆兮、當於主前、吐其衷曲、爾之赤子、已為餓殍、仆於逵衢、爾當舉手於上、求其矜恤兮。耶和華兮、請爾視之、所責者誰、婦之初娩、自食其子、祭司先知、見戮於聖所兮。

王志所向、耶和華挽其意、如回狂瀾於既倒。

既至羅馬、百夫長以眾囚交將軍、惟聽保羅偕守卒一人、居於外、

可飲溪水、我命阿利冰族、供爾養贍。以利亞遵命而往、至約但東之基立溪居焉。阿利冰族以餅以肉攜之而至、無間朝夕、所飲者此溪之水。

未幾、我叔之子哈拿滅、至外獄見我、應耶和華言、彼謂我曰、便雅憫地、亞拿突邑、我有田畝、所當贖者、惟爾一人、請為我贖之、業可歸爾、我聽此、知耶和華所使、

我民流亡、孩提之子、哺乳之兒、喪於逵衢兮、我目流涕、中心惻怛、不啻肝腦之塗地兮。赤子如傷、仆於逵衢、失魂於母懷、乃詰母曰百穀旨酒安在兮。

為此、我受苦見繫、如犯法者、然上帝道、不可得而繫、

寧殞於鋒刃、不願死於饑饉、土產已絶、日漸衰微兮。維彼婦女、素懷矜恤、今民淪喪、烹子而食兮。

有人焉、耶和華悅其所為、必使仇敵皆與之和。

當賴耶和華以行善、然後得居斯土而快足兮。

於爾上帝耶和華所錫之地、四境之內、城垣鞏固、高聳特甚、爾恃之以無恐、必見圍於敵、攻而下之。爾敵環而攻爾、勢甚危迫、使爾食己所生之子女、即爾上帝耶和華所賜者。如是在爾中、最猗儺荏弱之人、必睚眦兄弟、及眷愛之妻室、留遺之子女、不以所食之嬰孩分給之、蓋敵攻邑門、見圍甚迫、物無從得故也。爾中猗儺纖弱之女、因其嬌嬈、以足踐地、猶且不屑、迨敵圍爾邑、迫切之甚、婦至缺乏、俱無所得、則私藏所出之胞衣、所生之嬰孩、以供所食、即其所愛之夫、所生之子女、亦被睚眦、毫不分給。

故勿以傳主道為恥、亦勿以我因主被囚為恥、實賴上帝之能、為福音共受苦、

哺乳之嬰、厥口甚渴、齦閉舌卷兮、孩提求餅、無人擘而予之兮。素飫肥甘者、今亡於逵衢兮、昔衣絳袍、為人提抱者、今偃於糞壤兮。

逾二載、波求非士都代腓力士職、腓力士欲取悅猶太人、仍繫保羅焉、

臨禍之日、彼無愧恥、饑饉之時、彼亦果腹兮。

饑饉特甚、膚黑若爐兮。

遣人至外獄。召耶利米、使與沙番孫亞希甘子其大利同歸故土、居於民間。耶利米猶在外獄之時、耶和華諭之曰、

我為主被囚、勸爾行事、稱所蒙召之命、

聖潔之民、寅畏耶和華、畏之者無匱乏兮。維彼稚獅、或乏食而飢、求耶和華者、百福來同兮。
