The king also commanded that Jeremiah be given a loaf of fresh bread every day as long as there was any left in the city. So Jeremiah was put in the palace prison.

So King Zedekiah gave orders, and Jeremiah was placed in the guard’s courtyard. He was given a loaf of bread each day from the bakers’ street until all the bread was gone from the city. So Jeremiah remained in the guard’s courtyard.

你要在夜间起来，在主面前整夜呼求，向祂倾心吐意；你要为饿昏街头的孩童向主举手祷告。“耶和华啊，求你看看，你曾这样对付过谁呢？母亲岂能吃自己的孩子？祭司和先知岂能在主的圣所中被杀？

耶和华掌管君王的心，易如支配垄沟的流水。

进了罗马城后，保罗获准在卫兵的看守下自己一个人住。

你可以喝基立溪的水，我已吩咐乌鸦在那里供应你食物。”以利亚遵从耶和华的话，到约旦河东的基立溪旁住下来。乌鸦每天早晚为他叼来饼和肉，他喝溪里的水。

果然如耶和华所言，我堂兄弟哈拿篾到护卫兵的院子里对我说：“我在便雅悯境内的亚拿突有一块田，求你买下它，因为你理当买下它。求你买下吧！”我知道这是耶和华的旨意。

我哭得眼睛失明，心如刀割，肝胆欲碎，因为人民惨遭毁灭，儿童和婴孩昏倒在街头。孩子们问母亲：“哪里有饼和酒呢？”他们像受伤的勇士，昏倒在城中的街头，在母亲怀中奄奄一息。

我为这福音受苦，甚至像犯人一样被囚禁，但上帝的道是囚禁不住的。

死于刀下的胜过死于饥饿的，后者因田间缺粮而活活饿死。我的百姓遭毁灭时，慈母亲手煮自己的儿女充饥。

人所行的若蒙耶和华喜悦，耶和华必使仇敌与他和好。

要信靠耶和华，要行善，要在这片土地上安然度日。

在你们的上帝耶和华所赐给你们的土地上，他们要把你们围困在各个城邑中，直到你们所依赖的高大坚固的城墙都倒塌。“当你们被敌人围困、陷入绝境时，你们必吃自己的亲生骨肉——你们的上帝耶和华赐给你们的儿女。因为被敌人困在城中，饥饿难熬，连你们中间最温柔体贴的男人也要独自吞吃子女的肉，不肯分给自己的兄弟、爱妻和剩下的儿女。

所以，你不要羞于为我们的主做见证，也不要以我这为主被囚的人为耻，要靠着上帝的能力和我一同为福音受苦。

婴儿干渴难忍，舌头紧贴上膛；孩童乞求食物，却无人给予。昔日锦衣玉食、生活奢侈的，如今却流落街头，躺卧在粪堆中。

过了两年，波求·非斯都接任总督，腓利斯为了讨好犹太人，仍然把保罗留在监里。

他们在灾难中不致绝望，在饥荒时仍得饱足。

我们因饥饿而发热，皮肤热如烤炉。

便派人把耶利米从护卫兵的院子提出来，让沙番的孙子、亚希甘的儿子基大利带他回家。从此，耶利米就生活在百姓当中。耶利米被监禁在护卫兵院子里的时候，耶和华对他说：

所以，我这为主被囚禁的劝你们，既然蒙了上帝的呼召，就要过与所蒙的呼召相称的生活。

耶和华的圣民啊，你们要敬畏祂，因为敬畏祂的人一无所缺。壮狮也会忍饥挨饿，但寻求耶和华的人什么福分都不缺。
