Then Jeremiah asked King Zedekiah,“ What crime have I committed against you, or the officials who serve you, or the people of Judah? What have I done to make you people throw me into prison?

耶利米又对西底家王说：“我在什么事上得罪你，或你的臣仆，或这百姓，你竟将我囚在监里呢？

耶利米又对西底家王说：“我在什么事上得罪你，或你的臣仆，或这百姓，你们竟将我囚在监里呢？

耶利米又对西底家王说：“我在什么事上得罪你，或你的臣仆，或这百姓，你们竟将我囚在监里呢？

耶利米又问他：“我在什么事上得罪了你、你的臣仆或人民，以致你们把我囚在监牢中？

耶利米再对西底家王说：“我有什么得罪你，或你的臣仆，或这人民，你竟然把我送进监狱里呢？

耶利米又對西底家王說：「我在甚麼事上得罪你，或你的臣僕，或這百姓，你竟將我囚在監裏呢？

耶利米又對西底家王說：「我在甚麼事上得罪你，或你的臣僕，或這百姓，你們竟將我囚在監裏呢？

耶利米又對西底家王說：「我在甚麼事上得罪你，或你的臣僕，或這百姓，你們竟將我囚在監裏呢？

耶利米又問他：「我在什麼事上得罪了你、你的臣僕或人民，以致你們把我囚在監牢中？

耶利米再對西底家王說：“我有甚麼得罪你，或你的臣僕，或這人民，你竟然把我送進監獄裡呢？

耶利米又對西底家王說：『我有甚麼得罪了你，或你的臣僕，或這人民，你們竟把我下在監獄裏呢？

耶利米謂西底家王曰、我何所干罪於爾、或爾臣僕、或庶民、致幽我於獄耶、

耶利米又奏西底家王曰、我未嘗得罪於王臣百姓、下我於獄曷故、

耶利米又奏西底家王曰、爾曹囚我於獄、我於爾、爾臣僕斯民、得何罪耶、

Then Jeremiah said to King Zedekiah,“ What crime have I committed against you or your attendants or this people, that you have put me in prison?

Then Jeremiah continued,“ Why have you put me in prison? What crime have I committed against you? What have I done to your attendants or these people?

Jeremiah also said to King Zedekiah,“ What wrong have I done to you or your servants or this people, that you have put me in prison?

Then Jeremiah asked the king,“ What crime have I committed? What have I done against you, your attendants, or the people that I should be imprisoned like this?

Then Jeremiah said to King Zedekiah,“ How have I sinned against you or your servants or these people that you have put me in prison?

Moreover, Jeremiah said to King Zedekiah,“ In what way have I sinned against you, or your servants, or this people, that you have put me in prison?

Moreover Jeremiah said to King Zedekiah,“ What offense have I committed against you, against your servants, or against this people, that you have put me in prison?

Moreover Jeremiah said unto king Zedekiah, Wherein have I sinned against thee, or against thy servants, or against this people, that ye have put me in prison?

Then Jeremiah said to King Zedekiah,“ How have I sinned against you or your servants or these people that you have put me in prison?

Moreover Jeremiah said unto king Zedekiah, What have I offended against thee, or against thy servants, or against this people, that ye have put me in prison?

Moreover Jeremiah said to king Zedekiah,“ How have I sinned against you, against your servants, or against this people, that you have put me in prison?

Jesus said to them,“ I have shown you many good deeds from the Father. For which one of them are you going to stone me?”

Paul said in his defense,“ I have committed no offense against the Jewish law or against the temple or against Caesar.”

My God sent his angel and closed the lions’ mouths so that they have not harmed me, because I was found to be innocent before him. Nor have I done any harm to you, O king.”

But I found that he had done nothing that deserved death, and when he appealed to His Majesty the Emperor, I decided to send him.

If then I am in the wrong and have done anything that deserves death, I am not trying to escape dying, but if not one of their charges against me is true, no one can hand me over to them. I appeal to Caesar!”

It is terrible to punish a righteous person, and to flog honorable men is wrong.

Paul looked directly at the council and said,“ Brothers, I have lived my life with a clear conscience before God to this day.”

Jacob became angry and argued with Laban.“ What did I do wrong?” he demanded of Laban.“ What sin of mine prompted you to chase after me in hot pursuit?

and as they were leaving they said to one another,“ This man is not doing anything deserving death or imprisonment.”

He went on to say,“ Why is my lord chasing his servant? What have I done? What wrong have I done?So let my lord the king now listen to the words of his servant. If the LORD has incited you against me, may he take delight in an offering. But if men have instigated this, may they be cursed before the LORD! For they have driven me away this day from being united with the LORD’s inheritance, saying,‘ Go on, serve other gods!’Now don’t let my blood fall to the ground away from the LORD’s presence, for the king of Israel has gone out to look for a flea the way one looks for a partridge in the hill country.”Saul replied,“ I have sinned. Come back, my son David. I won’t harm you, for you treated my life with value this day. I have behaved foolishly and have made a very terrible mistake!”

As for the one who repays evil for good, evil will not leave his house.

This is the reason I do my best to always have a clear conscience toward God and toward people.

So then, have I become your enemy by telling you the truth?

David said to Saul,“ Why do you pay attention when men say,‘ David is seeking to do you harm’?Today your own eyes see how the LORD delivered you– this very day– into my hands in the cave. Some told me to kill you, but I had pity on you and said,‘ I will not extend my hand against my lord, for he is the LORD’s chosen one.’Look, my father, and see the edge of your robe in my hand! When I cut off the edge of your robe, I didn’t kill you. So realize and understand that I am not planning evil or rebellion. Even though I have not sinned against you, you are waiting in ambush to take my life.May the LORD judge between the two of us, and may the LORD vindicate me over you, but my hand will not be against you.It’s like the old proverb says:‘ From evil people evil proceeds.’ But my hand will not be against you.Who has the king of Israel come out after? Who is it that you are pursuing? A dead dog? A single flea?May the LORD be our judge and arbiter. May he see and arbitrate my case and deliver me from your hands!”

King Hezekiah and all the people of Judah did not put him to death, did they? Did not Hezekiah show reverence for the LORD and seek the LORD’s favor? Did not the LORD forgo destroying them as he threatened he would? But we are on the verge of bringing great disaster on ourselves.”
