Then Zedekiah the king sent, and took him out: and the king asked him secretly in his house, and said, Is there[ any] word from the LORD? And Jeremiah said, There is: for, said he, thou shalt be delivered into the hand of the king of Babylon.

Then King Zedekiah sent for him and had him brought to the palace, where he asked him privately,“ Is there any word from the Lord?”“ Yes,” Jeremiah replied,“ you will be delivered into the hands of the king of Babylon.”

Then King Zedekiah sent for him. King Zedekiah had Jeremiah brought to the palace. There the king spoke to him in private. The king asked,“ Do you have a message from the Lord for me?”“ Yes,” Jeremiah replied.“ You will be handed over to the king of Babylon.”

King Zedekiah sent for him and received him. The king questioned him secretly in his house and said,“ Is there any word from the Lord?” Jeremiah said,“ There is.” Then he said,“ You shall be delivered into the hand of the king of Babylon.”

Later King Zedekiah secretly requested that Jeremiah come to the palace, where the king asked him,“ Do you have any messages from the Lord?”“ Yes, I do!” said Jeremiah.“ You will be defeated by the king of Babylon.”

King Zedekiah later sent for him and received him, and in his house privately asked him,“ Is there a word from the LORD?”“ There is,” Jeremiah responded. He continued,“ You will be handed over to the king of Babylon.”

Now King Zedekiah sent men and took him out; and in his palace the king secretly asked him and said,“ Is there a word from the Lord?” And Jeremiah said,“ There is!” Then he said,“ You will be handed over to the king of Babylon!”

then Zedekiah the king sent and took him out. The king asked him secretly in his house, and said,“ Is there any word from the Lord?” And Jeremiah said,“ There is.” Then he said,“ You shall be delivered into the hand of the king of Babylon!”

Then Zedekiah the king sent, and fetched him: and the king asked him secretly in his house, and said, Is there any word from Jehovah? And Jeremiah said, There is. He said also, Thou shalt be delivered into the hand of the king of Babylon.

King Zedekiah later sent for him and received him, and in his house privately asked him,“ Is there a word from the Lord?”“ There is,” Jeremiah responded, and he continued,“ You will be handed over to the king of Babylon.”

Then King Zedekiah had him brought to the palace. There he questioned him privately and asked him,“ Is there any message from the LORD?” Jeremiah answered,“ Yes, there is.” Then he announced,“ You will be handed over to the king of Babylon.”

then Zedekiah the king sent, and had him brought out. The king asked him secretly in his house,“ Is there any word from Yahweh?” Jeremiah said,“ There is.” He also said,“ You will be delivered into the hand of the king of Babylon.”

And afterward, saith the LORD, I will deliver Zedekiah king of Judah, and his servants, and the people, and such as are left in this city from the pestilence, from the sword, and from the famine, into the hand of Nebuchadrezzar king of Babylon, and into the hand of their enemies, and into the hand of those that seek their life: and he shall smite them with the edge of the sword; he shall not spare them, neither have pity, nor have mercy.

And the king said unto him, How many times shall I adjure thee that thou tell me nothing but[ that which is] true in the name of the LORD?

And Zedekiah the king sent Jehucal the son of Shelemiah and Zephaniah the son of Maaseiah the priest to the prophet Jeremiah, saying, Pray now unto the LORD our God for us.

Then said Zedekiah unto Jeremiah, Let no man know of these words, and thou shalt not die.But if the princes hear that I have talked with thee, and they come unto thee, and say unto thee, Declare unto us now what thou hast said unto the king, hide it not from us, and we will not put thee to death; also what the king said unto thee:Then thou shalt say unto them, I presented my supplication before the king, that he would not cause me to return to Jonathan’s house, to die there.Then came all the princes unto Jeremiah, and asked him: and he told them according to all these words that the king had commanded. So they left off speaking with him; for the matter was not perceived.

And the prince that[ is] among them shall bear upon[ his] shoulder in the twilight, and shall go forth: they shall dig through the wall to carry out thereby: he shall cover his face, that he see not the ground with[ his] eyes.My net also will I spread upon him, and he shall be taken in my snare: and I will bring him to Babylon[ to] the land of the Chaldeans; yet shall he not see it, though he shall die there.

The word which came unto Jeremiah from the LORD, when king Zedekiah sent unto him Pashur the son of Melchiah, and Zephaniah the son of Maaseiah the priest, saying,Enquire, I pray thee, of the LORD for us; for Nebuchadrezzar king of Babylon maketh war against us; if so be that the LORD will deal with us according to all his wondrous works, that he may go up from us.

Then Zedekiah the king said, Behold, he[ is] in your hand: for the king[ is] not[ he that] can do[ any] thing against you.

At that time Abijah the son of Jeroboam fell sick.And Jeroboam said to his wife, Arise, I pray thee, and disguise thyself, that thou be not known to be the wife of Jeroboam; and get thee to Shiloh: behold, there[ is] Ahijah the prophet, which told me that[ I should be] king over this people.And take with thee ten loaves, and cracknels, and a cruse of honey, and go to him: he shall tell thee what shall become of the child.And Jeroboam’s wife did so, and arose, and went to Shiloh, and came to the house of Ahijah. But Ahijah could not see; for his eyes were set by reason of his age.

Then Zedekiah the king sent, and took Jeremiah the prophet unto him into the third entry that[ is] in the house of the LORD: and the king said unto Jeremiah, I will ask thee a thing; hide nothing from me.Then Jeremiah said unto Zedekiah, If I declare[ it] unto thee, wilt thou not surely put me to death? and if I give thee counsel, wilt thou not hearken unto me?So Zedekiah the king sware secretly unto Jeremiah, saying,[ As] the LORD liveth, that made us this soul, I will not put thee to death, neither will I give thee into the hand of these men that seek thy life.

And as the evil figs, which cannot be eaten, they are so evil; surely thus saith the LORD, So will I give Zedekiah the king of Judah, and his princes, and the residue of Jerusalem, that remain in this land, and them that dwell in the land of Egypt:

The LORD said, Verily it shall be well with thy remnant; verily I will cause the enemy to entreat thee[ well] in the time of evil and in the time of affliction.

For Zedekiah king of Judah had shut him up, saying, Wherefore dost thou prophesy, and say, Thus saith the LORD, Behold, I will give this city into the hand of the king of Babylon, and he shall take it;And Zedekiah king of Judah shall not escape out of the hand of the Chaldeans, but shall surely be delivered into the hand of the king of Babylon, and shall speak with him mouth to mouth, and his eyes shall behold his eyes;And he shall lead Zedekiah to Babylon, and there shall he be until I visit him, saith the LORD: though ye fight with the Chaldeans, ye shall not prosper.

[ Know] that thus saith the LORD of the king that sitteth upon the throne of David, and of all the people that dwelleth in this city,[ and] of your brethren that are not gone forth with you into captivity;Thus saith the LORD of hosts; Behold, I will send upon them the sword, the famine, and the pestilence, and will make them like vile figs, that cannot be eaten, they are so evil.And I will persecute them with the sword, with the famine, and with the pestilence, and will deliver them to be removed to all the kingdoms of the earth, to be a curse, and an astonishment, and an hissing, and a reproach, among all the nations whither I have driven them:

Therefore thus saith the Lord GOD;[ As] I live, surely mine oath that he hath despised, and my covenant that he hath broken, even it will I recompense upon his own head.And I will spread my net upon him, and he shall be taken in my snare, and I will bring him to Babylon, and will plead with him there for his trespass that he hath trespassed against me.And all his fugitives with all his bands shall fall by the sword, and they that remain shall be scattered toward all winds: and ye shall know that I the LORD have spoken[ it].

And Zedekiah king of Judah and his princes will I give into the hand of their enemies, and into the hand of them that seek their life, and into the hand of the king of Babylon’s army, which are gone up from you.Behold, I will command, saith the LORD, and cause them to return to this city; and they shall fight against it, and take it, and burn it with fire: and I will make the cities of Judah a desolation without an inhabitant.

But Jehoshaphat said,[ Is there] not here a prophet of the LORD, that we may enquire of the LORD by him? And one of the king of Israel’s servants answered and said, Here[ is] Elisha the son of Shaphat, which poured water on the hands of Elijah.And Jehoshaphat said, The word of the LORD is with him. So the king of Israel and Jehoshaphat and the king of Edom went down to him.And Elisha said unto the king of Israel, What have I to do with thee? get thee to the prophets of thy father, and to the prophets of thy mother. And the king of Israel said unto him, Nay: for the LORD hath called these three kings together, to deliver them into the hand of Moab.

For Herod feared John, knowing that he was a just man and an holy, and observed him; and when he heard him, he did many things, and heard him gladly.

And thou, profane wicked prince of Israel, whose day is come, when iniquity[ shall have] an end,Thus saith the Lord GOD; Remove the diadem, and take off the crown: this[ shall] not[ be] the same: exalt[ him that is] low, and abase[ him that is] high.I will overturn, overturn, overturn, it: and it shall be no[ more], until he come whose right it is; and I will give it[ him].

Then the king of Babylon slew the sons of Zedekiah in Riblah before his eyes: also the king of Babylon slew all the nobles of Judah.Moreover he put out Zedekiah’s eyes, and bound him with chains, to carry him to Babylon.
