Everyone was to free their Hebrew slaves, both male and female; no one was to hold a fellow Hebrew in bondage.

All of them had to do this. That applied to male and female slaves alike. No one was allowed to hold another Hebrew as a slave.

他們是希伯來人，我也是。他們是以色列人，我也是。他們是亞伯拉罕的子孫，我也是。

所有立約的首領和人民都答應守約，並釋放了自己的奴隸，

他們必受許多國家和強大君王的奴役，我要按他們的所作所為報應他們。」

「如果你們的希伯來同胞，不論男女，賣身給你們做奴隸，他們要服侍你們六年，到第七年，你們要給他們自由。

各國都要臣服於他和他的子孫，直到他的國家滅亡。那時，許多國家和強大的君王必奴役他。

我是從希伯來人那裡被拐來的，無辜被囚在監。」

以色列的長老們必定聽從你的話，你就跟他們一起去見埃及王，對他說，『希伯來人的上帝耶和華向我們顯現。現在請你容許我們走三天的路程，到曠野去，向我們的上帝耶和華獻祭。』

「如果你們的同胞窮得把自己賣給你們，不可把他當作奴隸，要待他像雇工和寄居者一樣。他要為你工作到禧年。到了禧年，他和孩子們便可以離開你們，回到自己的宗族和祖業。因為以色列人是我的僕人，是我從埃及帶出來的，所以他們不可賣身為奴。你們也不可苛待他們，要敬畏你們的上帝。你們可以從鄰國購買奴隸，也可以買居住或出生在你們境內的外族人。這些人可以作你們的產業。你們可以將他們作為產業傳給你們的子孫，使他們終身做奴隸。但你們不可苛待自己的同胞。

你們反而欺負人、虧待人，而且欺負、虧待的是自己的弟兄姊妹。

非利士人啊，要剛強，做大丈夫。不然，我們就會成為希伯來人的奴隸，像他們做我們的奴隸一樣。我們要做大丈夫，奮力征戰。」

我出生後第八天就受了割禮，我是以色列人，屬於便雅憫支派，是道道地地的希伯來人。論守律法，我是法利賽人；

萬軍之耶和華說：「那日，我要折斷他們頸上的軛，砍斷他們的鎖鏈，使他們不再受外族人奴役。

非利士人聽見了喊聲就說：「希伯來人在營中喊什麼？」後來他們知道是耶和華的約櫃到了營中，

非利士的駐軍看見二人走近，就說：「看！希伯來人從洞裡爬出來了！」
