後乃反悔、褻瀆我名、各使所釋自由之僕婢、歸而事爾、仍為僕婢、

厥後爾曹易其素志、瀆我聖名、所釋之僕婢、仍使供役、

爾又後悔、褻瀆我名、以所釋任意自由之奴婢、復使之歸、強之仍為奴婢、

But now you have turned around and profaned my name; each of you has taken back the male and female slaves you had set free to go where they wished. You have forced them to become your slaves again.

不可以我的名義起假誓，從而褻瀆你們上帝的名。我是耶和華。

「不可妄用你上帝耶和華的名，違者必被耶和華定罪。

事後卻又反悔，抓回先前釋放的奴隸，再次奴役他們。

義人若棄善行惡，與惡人同流合污，這人豈能活著？他從前的義行不會被記念，他必因自己的背信和罪惡而滅亡。

如果一個義人偏離正道、犯罪作惡，我會使他跌倒，他必死亡。如果你不告誡他，他必死在罪惡之中，他以前的義行也不會被記念，而我要追究你的責任。

「我後悔立掃羅為王，因為他離棄了我，不遵守我的命令。」撒母耳很難過，整夜呼求耶和華。

「可是，那奴僕出去後，遇見一位欠他一百個銀幣的同伴，就揪住同伴，掐著他的喉嚨說，『還我錢！』同伴跪下哀求道，『請寬容我，我會還你的。』「那奴僕卻不肯，竟把同伴送進監獄，直到他還清債務為止。其他的奴僕目睹這一切，都憤憤不平，把這件事告訴了王。「於是，王把那奴僕召來，說，『你這可惡的奴才！你哀求我，我就免了你所有的債。難道你不應該憐憫你的同伴，就像我憐憫你一樣嗎？』王大怒，下令把他交給獄卒受刑，直到他還清全部的債務。

「我憑我的永恆起誓，巴比倫王立他做王，他卻棄約背誓，他必死在巴比倫。敵人築起圍攻的土壘和高臺大肆殺戮的時候，法老雖然兵強馬壯，人多勢眾，仍無法幫他抗敵。他起誓降服，卻棄約背誓，所以絕不能逃避後果。因此，主耶和華說，『我憑我的永恆起誓，他既藐視與我所立的誓言，背棄與我所定的約，我必懲罰他。

種子落在蓋著淺土的石頭地上是指人聽了道，欣然接受了，但是沒有根基，只是暫時相信，一遇到試煉就放棄了；種子落在荊棘叢中是指人聽了道，後來被生活的憂慮、錢財和享樂纏住了，以致結不出成熟的果實來；種子落在沃土裡則是指人聽了道，用誠實良善的心堅忍持守，至終結出果實。

「主耶和華說，『你們以色列人若不聽我的話，就去供奉你們的偶像吧！但將來你們必不再向偶像獻祭物褻瀆我的聖名！』

可是，你們卻褻瀆我的名，竟然說我的桌子是污穢的，上面的祭物是可藐視的。

人子啊，你要對你的同胞說，『當義人犯罪時，他以往的義救不了他；當惡人悔改時，他以往的惡不會使他滅沒。義人若犯罪，他以往的義不能使他存活。』我雖對義人說他必能存活，但如果他仗著自己的義而犯罪，他的義將不會被記念，他必因犯罪而死亡。

你們把污穢的食物獻在我的祭壇上，還說，『我們在何事上玷污了你呢？』你們說耶和華的桌子是可藐視的。

「『我要讓我的以色列子民知道我的聖名，不再讓我的聖名被褻瀆。這樣列國就知道我是耶和華——以色列的聖者。
