耶和華云、我所立晝夜之約、如爾曹能廢之、使晝夜失時、

我已立約、晝夜不失其時、如此約可廢。

主如是云、我所立晝夜之約、爾若能廢、使晝夜失時、

“ This is what the Lord says:‘ If you can break my covenant with the day and my covenant with the night, so that day and night no longer come at their appointed time,

The Lord said,“ Could you ever break my covenant with the day? Could you ever break my covenant with the night? Could you ever stop day and night from coming at their appointed times?

“ Thus says the Lord: If you can break my covenant with the day and my covenant with the night, so that day and night will not come at their appointed time,

“ This is what the Lord says: If you can break my covenant with the day and the night so that one does not follow the other,

“ This is what the LORD says: If you can break my covenant with the day and my covenant with the night so that day and night cease to come at their regular time,

Thus saith Jehovah: If ye can break my covenant of the day, and my covenant of the night, so that there shall not be day and night in their season;

“ I, LORD, make the following promise:‘ I have made a covenant with the day and with the night that they will always come at their proper times. Only if you people could break that covenant

“ To me this is like the days of Noah, when I swore that the waters of Noah would never again cover the earth. So now I have sworn not to be angry with you, never to rebuke you again.Though the mountains be shaken and the hills be removed, yet my unfailing love for you will not be shaken nor my covenant of peace be removed,” says the Lord, who has compassion on you. He made the moon to mark the seasons, and the sun knows when to go down.You bring darkness, it becomes night, and all the beasts of the forest prowl.The lions roar for their prey and seek their food from God.The sun rises, and they steal away; they return and lie down in their dens.Then people go out to their work, to their labor until evening. This is what the Lord says, he who appoints the sun to shine by day, who decrees the moon and stars to shine by night, who stirs up the sea so that its waves roar— the Lord Almighty is his name:“ Only if these decrees vanish from my sight,” declares the Lord,“ will Israel ever cease being a nation before me.”This is what the Lord says:“ Only if the heavens above can be measured and the foundations of the earth below be searched out will I reject all the descendants of Israel because of all they have done,” declares the Lord.
