I will restore the fortunes of Judah and the fortunes of Israel, and rebuild them as they were at first.

For how great is his goodness, and how great his beauty! Grain shall make the young men flourish, and new wine the young women.

But I with the voice of thanksgiving will sacrifice to you; what I have vowed I will pay. Salvation belongs to the Lord!”

Sing aloud, O daughter of Zion; shout, O Israel! Rejoice and exult with all your heart, O daughter of Jerusalem!

And all the people went their way to eat and drink and to send portions and to make great rejoicing, because they had understood the words that were declared to them.

For the Lord comforts Zion; he comforts all her waste places and makes her wilderness like Eden, her desert like the garden of the Lord; joy and gladness will be found in her, thanksgiving and the voice of song.

Moreover, I will banish from them the voice of mirth and the voice of gladness, the voice of the bridegroom and the voice of the bride, the grinding of the millstones and the light of the lamp.

You will say in that day:“ I will give thanks to you, O Lord, for though you were angry with me, your anger turned away, that you might comfort me.“ Behold, God is my salvation; I will trust, and will not be afraid; for the Lord GOD is my strength and my song, and he has become my salvation.”With joy you will draw water from the wells of salvation.And you will say in that day:“ Give thanks to the Lord, call upon his name, make known his deeds among the peoples, proclaim that his name is exalted.“ Sing praises to the Lord, for he has done gloriously; let this be made known in all the earth.Shout, and sing for joy, O inhabitant of Zion, for great in your midst is the Holy One of Israel.”

“ Thus says the Lord of hosts: The fast of the fourth month and the fast of the fifth and the fast of the seventh and the fast of the tenth shall be to the house of Judah seasons of joy and gladness and cheerful feasts. Therefore love truth and peace.

then I will reject the offspring of Jacob and David my servant and will not choose one of his offspring to rule over the offspring of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob. For I will restore their fortunes and will have mercy on them.”
