I will make an everlasting covenant with them: I will never stop doing good to them, and I will inspire them to fear me, so that they will never turn away from me.

I will make a covenant with them that will last forever. I promise that I will never stop doing good to them. I will cause them to respect me. Then they will never turn away from me again.

who by God’s power are protected through faith for a salvation ready to be revealed in the last time.

“ Indeed, a time is coming,” says the LORD,“ when I will make a new covenant with the people of Israel and Judah.It will not be like the old covenant that I made with their ancestors when I delivered them from Egypt. For they violated that covenant, even though I was like a faithful husband to them,” says the LORD.“ But I will make a new covenant with the whole nation of Israel after I plant them back in the land,” says the LORD.“ I will put my law within them and write it on their hearts and minds. I will be their God and they will be my people.

Now when God made his promise to Abraham, since he could swear by no one greater, he swore by himself,saying,“ Surely I will bless you greatly and multiply your descendants abundantly.”And so by persevering, Abraham inherited the promise.For people swear by something greater than themselves, and the oath serves as a confirmation to end all dispute.In the same way God wanted to demonstrate more clearly to the heirs of the promise that his purpose was unchangeable, and so he intervened with an oath,so that we who have found refuge in him may find strong encouragement to hold fast to the hope set before us through two unchangeable things, since it is impossible for God to lie.

I will no longer hide my face from them, when I pour out my Spirit on the house of Israel, declares the sovereign LORD.”

I will give you a new heart, and I will put a new spirit within you. I will remove the heart of stone from your body and give you a heart of flesh.

I will give them the desire to acknowledge that I am the LORD. I will be their God and they will be my people. For they will wholeheartedly return to me.’

All generous giving and every perfect gift is from above, coming down from the Father of lights, with whom there is no variation or the slightest hint of change.

is like the light of morning when the sun comes up, a morning in which there are no clouds. He is like the brightness after rain that produces grass from the earth.

Now may the God of peace who by the blood of the eternal covenant brought back from the dead the great shepherd of the sheep, our Lord Jesus Christ,

They will ask the way to Zion; they will turn their faces toward it. They will come and bind themselves to the LORD in a lasting covenant that will never be forgotten.

And we know that all things work together for good for those who love God, who are called according to his purpose,because those whom he foreknew he also predestined to be conformed to the image of his Son, that his Son would be the firstborn among many brothers and sisters.And those he predestined, he also called; and those he called, he also justified; and those he justified, he also glorified.What then shall we say about these things? If God is for us, who can be against us?Indeed, he who did not spare his own Son, but gave him up for us all– how will he not also, along with him, freely give us all things?Who will bring any charge against God’s elect? It is God who justifies.Who is the one who will condemn? Christ is the one who died( and more than that, he was raised), who is at the right hand of God, and who also is interceding for us.Who will separate us from the love of Christ? Will trouble, or distress, or persecution, or famine, or nakedness, or danger, or sword?As it is written,“ For your sake we encounter death all day long; we were considered as sheep to be slaughtered.”No, in all these things we have complete victory through him who loved us!For I am convinced that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor heavenly rulers, nor things that are present, nor things to come, nor powers,nor height, nor depth, nor anything else in creation will be able to separate us from the love of God in Christ Jesus our Lord.

but he holds his priesthood permanently since he lives forever.

in order that in Christ Jesus the blessing of Abraham would come to the Gentiles, so that we could receive the promise of the Spirit by faith.Brothers and sisters, I offer an example from everyday life: When a covenant has been ratified, even though it is only a human contract, no one can set it aside or add anything to it.Now the promises were spoken to Abraham and to his descendant. Scripture does not say,“ and to the descendants,” referring to many, but“ and to your descendant,” referring to one, who is Christ.What I am saying is this: The law that came four hundred thirty years later does not cancel a covenant previously ratified by God, so as to invalidate the promise.

I will confirm my covenant as a perpetual covenant between me and you. It will extend to your descendants after you throughout their generations. I will be your God and the God of your descendants after you.I will give the whole land of Canaan– the land where you are now residing– to you and your descendants after you as a permanent possession. I will be their God.”Then God said to Abraham,“ As for you, you must keep the covenantal requirement I am imposing on you and your descendants after you throughout their generations.This is my requirement that you and your descendants after you must keep: Every male among you must be circumcised.You must circumcise the flesh of your foreskins. This will be a reminder of the covenant between me and you.Throughout your generations every male among you who is eight days old must be circumcised, whether born in your house or bought with money from any foreigner who is not one of your descendants.They must indeed be circumcised, whether born in your house or bought with money. The sign of my covenant will be visible in your flesh as a permanent reminder.

He has done this to show mercy to our ancestors, and to remember his holy covenant–the oath that he swore to our ancestor Abraham. This oath grantsthat we, being rescued from the hand of our enemies, may serve him without fear,in holiness and righteousness before him for as long as we live.

My sheep listen to my voice, and I know them, and they follow me.I give them eternal life, and they will never perish; no one will snatch them from my hand.My Father, who has given them to me, is greater than all, and no one can snatch them from my Father’s hand.The Father and I are one.”

Therefore we must be wary that, while the promise of entering his rest remains open, none of you may seem to have come short of it.

For I, the LORD, love justice and hate robbery and sin. I will repay them because of my faithfulness; I will make a permanent covenant with them.

The earth is defiled by its inhabitants, for they have violated laws, disregarded the regulation, and broken the permanent treaty.
