Zedekiah king of Judah will not escape the Babylonians but will certainly be given into the hands of the king of Babylon, and will speak with him face to face and see him with his own eyes.

Zedekiah, the king of Judah, will not escape from the powerful hands of the armies of Babylon. He will certainly be handed over to the king of Babylon. Zedekiah will speak with him face to face. He will see him with his own eyes.

Zedekiah king of Judah shall not escape out of the hand of the Chaldeans, but shall surely be given into the hand of the king of Babylon, and shall speak with him face to face and see him eye to eye.

King Zedekiah will be captured by the Babylonians and taken to meet the king of Babylon face to face.

King Zedekiah of Judah will not escape from the Chaldeans; indeed, he will certainly be handed over to Babylon’s king. They will speak face to face and meet eye to eye.

“人必将你的后妃和你的儿女带到迦勒底人那里；你也不得脱离他们的手，必被巴比伦王的手捉住，这城也必被火焚烧。”

你若不归顺巴比伦王的官长，这城必交在迦勒底人手中。他们必用火焚烧，你也不得脱离他们的手。”

犹大王西底家和所有士兵看见他们，就在夜间从靠近王的花园、两城墙中间的门逃跑出城，往亚拉巴逃去。迦勒底的军队追赶他们，在耶利哥的平原追上西底家，将他逮住，带到哈马地的利比拉、巴比伦王尼布甲尼撒那里；尼布甲尼撒就判他的罪。在利比拉，巴比伦王在西底家眼前杀了他的儿女；巴比伦王又杀了犹大所有的贵族，并且挖了西底家的眼睛，用铜链锁住他，要带到巴比伦去。

西底家王差人提他出来，在自己的宫内私下问他说：“有什么话从耶和华临到没有？”耶利米说：“有！”又说：“你必被交在巴比伦王手中。”

城被攻破，士兵全都在夜间从靠近王的花园、两城墙中间的门逃跑。迦勒底人正在四围攻城，王就往亚拉巴逃去。迦勒底的军队追赶王，在耶利哥的平原追上他；他的全军都离开他溃散了。迦勒底人就拿住王，带他到利比拉的巴比伦王那里；他们就判他的罪。他们在西底家眼前杀了他的儿女，挖了西底家的眼睛，用铜链锁着他，带到巴比伦去。

又从以色列王室后裔中选取一人，与他立约，令他发誓，又掳走国中有势力的人，使王国衰弱，不再强盛，只能靠守盟约方得生存。他却背叛巴比伦王，差派使者前往埃及，要求埃及人给他马匹和许多人。他岂能亨通呢？这样做的人岂能逃脱呢？他背了约岂能逃脱呢？主耶和华说：我指着我的永生起誓，他定要死在巴比伦，就是巴比伦王所在之处；因为巴比伦王立他为王，他竟轻看向王所起的誓，背弃王与他所立的约。当敌人建土堆，筑堡垒，要歼灭许多人时，法老虽有强大军队和大批人马，在战场上还是不能帮助他。他轻看誓言，背弃盟约，看哪，虽已投降，却又做这一切的事，他必不能逃脱。所以主耶和华如此说：我指着我的永生起誓，他既轻看我的誓言，背弃我的约，我必使这罪归到他头上。我要把我的网撒在他身上，他就被我的罗网缠住。我要带他到巴比伦，在那里因他背叛我的罪惩罚他。所有逃跑的军队必倒在刀下；剩余的也必分散四方。你们就知道说这话的是我—耶和华。”

迦勒底的军队追赶西底家王，在耶利哥的平原追上他。他的全军都离开他溃散了。迦勒底人就拿住王，带他到哈马地利比拉的巴比伦王那里；巴比伦王就判他的罪。巴比伦王在西底家眼前杀了他的儿女，又在利比拉杀了犹大全体的官长，并且挖了西底家的眼睛，用铜链锁着他，带到巴比伦去，将他囚在监里，直到他死的日子。

你这亵渎行恶的以色列王啊，你的日子，最后惩罚的时刻已来临。主耶和华如此说：当除掉荣冕，摘下华冠，景况已不复从前；要使卑者升为高，使高者降为卑。

他们中间的君王也必在天黑时把物件背在肩上带走。他们要挖通墙壁，从其中带出去。他必蒙住脸，眼看不见地。我要把我的网撒在他身上，他就被我的罗网缠住。我要带他到迦勒底人之地的巴比伦；他没有看见那地，就死在那里。
