Zedekiah king of Judah will not escape the Babylonians but will certainly be given into the hands of the king of Babylon, and will speak with him face to face and see him with his own eyes.

Zedekiah, the king of Judah, will not escape from the powerful hands of the armies of Babylon. He will certainly be handed over to the king of Babylon. Zedekiah will speak with him face to face. He will see him with his own eyes.

Zedekiah king of Judah shall not escape out of the hand of the Chaldeans, but shall surely be given into the hand of the king of Babylon, and shall speak with him face to face and see him eye to eye.

西底家遣人取之出獄、令潛入其宮、問之曰、爾自主得有默示否、耶利米曰、有、又曰、爾必見付於巴比倫王手、

於是城破、王與諸戰士、由近王園兩城中之門、夜逃遁、迦勒底人在城四圍、王由平原平原或作亞拉巴下同而走、迦勒底軍追王、在耶利歌平原及之、王之眾軍、離之四散、迦勒底人執王、解至利比拉、巴比倫王前、遂審鞫之、乃屠戮西底家諸子於西底家目前、抉西底家之二目、繫以銅索、攜至巴比倫、

與王室一人立約、使之發誓、又遷徒遷徒或作擄掠國中大夫、使國卑弱、不復振興、但守盟約、猶可存立、乃彼背叛巴比倫王、遣使至伊及、欲伊及王賜以馬匹軍旅、彼行是事、豈能亨通、豈能免難、背約之人、豈能得救、主天主曰、我指己永生而誓、巴比倫王既立彼為王、彼乃輕視誓言、背棄盟約、必死於巴比倫王之都巴比倫、敵人既築壘建營、欲翦滅邑眾、欲翦滅邑眾或作欲翦滅人眾多法老雖率軍旅眾多、以助其戰、亦必不利、彼立約立約原文作施手以成約之後、輕誓背約、既行此諸事、必不得免難、主天主曰、我指己永生而誓、彼所輕之誓、即向我而發、所背之約、即與我而立、我必加報其身、身原文作首為之張網、使陷於我之羅、攜至巴比倫、在彼必罰之、必罰之或作必審鞫之因其獲罪於我、獲罪於我或作背叛我其軍中逃遁者必殞於鋒刃、所遺者必分散四方、爾曹則知我耶和華已言之矣、○

迦勒底軍追王、在耶利歌之平原及之、王之眾軍、離之四散、迦勒底人執王、解至哈末地之利比拉、巴比倫王前、遂審鞫之、巴比倫王屠戮西底家諸子於西底家目前、又在利比拉屠戮猶大諸牧伯、抉西底家之兩目、繫以銅索、攜至巴比倫、囚之於獄、至於死日、

惟爾以色列之君、褻慢作惡、爾之罪愆貫盈、受報之日已至、主天主如是云、當除冠脫冕、不復存留、卑者必升為高、高者必降為卑、

其中之君、必荷物於肩、昏暮而出、人將掘墻以導之出、彼必蒙面、致目不見地、我為彼張我網、使陷我罟、攜至迦勒底之巴比倫、然不得見其地、亦必死於彼、
