Zedekiah king of Judah will not escape the Babylonians but will certainly be given into the hands of the king of Babylon, and will speak with him face to face and see him with his own eyes.

Zedekiah, the king of Judah, will not escape from the powerful hands of the armies of Babylon. He will certainly be handed over to the king of Babylon. Zedekiah will speak with him face to face. He will see him with his own eyes.

Zedekiah king of Judah shall not escape out of the hand of the Chaldeans, but shall surely be given into the hand of the king of Babylon, and shall speak with him face to face and see him eye to eye.

King Zedekiah will be captured by the Babylonians and taken to meet the king of Babylon face to face.

犹大王西底迦和所有军兵见势不妙，便在夜间穿过御花园，从两城墙中间的门逃往亚拉巴。但迦勒底的军队追上来，在耶利哥的平原擒住西底迦，把他带到哈马的利比拉去见巴比伦王尼布甲尼撒，接受审判。巴比伦王在利比拉当着西底迦的面杀了他的众子和犹大所有的贵族，并且挖去他的双眼，把他用铜链锁着带到巴比伦。

后来，西底迦王派人把他带到自己的宫中，私下问他：“耶和华有什么话给你吗？”耶利米说：“有，你要被交在巴比伦王手中。”

城被攻破，城里的所有士兵便在夜间穿过御花园，从两城墙中间的门逃往亚拉巴。当时迦勒底人仍四面包围着城。迦勒底军队追赶西底迦，在耶利哥平原追上了他，他的军队都四散而逃。迦勒底人擒住西底迦，把他押到利比拉见巴比伦王，在那里审判他。巴比伦王在西底迦面前杀了他的众子，又剜去他的双眼，把他用铜链锁着押往巴比伦。

并从犹大王室中选出一人与他立约，要他效忠。巴比伦王掳去犹大国的重臣，使犹大国臣服于他，无法图强，只能遵守盟约，以求生存。后来，犹大王背叛了巴比伦王，派使者到埃及请求支援军队马匹。他能成功吗？他这样做怎能逃脱惩罚呢？他这样背约怎能逃脱惩罚呢？“我凭我的永恒起誓，巴比伦王立他做王，他却弃约背誓，他必死在巴比伦。敌人筑起围攻的土垒和高台大肆杀戮的时候，法老虽然兵强马壮，人多势众，仍无法帮他抗敌。他起誓降服，却弃约背誓，所以绝不能逃避后果。因此，主耶和华说，‘我凭我的永恒起誓，他既藐视与我所立的誓言，背弃与我所定的约，我必惩罚他。我要撒开网罗抓住他，把他带到巴比伦，审判他对我不忠的罪。他所有的精兵都要丧身刀下，余下的也要四散逃窜。这样，你们就知道这是我耶和华说的。

迦勒底的军队追赶西底迦，在耶利哥平原追上了他。他的军队都四散而逃。迦勒底人擒住西底迦，把他押到哈马的利比拉去见巴比伦王。巴比伦王在那里审判他，当着他的面杀了他的众子和犹大所有的首领，又剜去他的双眼，用铜链锁着他押往巴比伦，将他终生囚在牢里。

你这邪恶败坏的以色列首领啊！你的结局到了，审判你的日子来了。’主耶和华说，‘取下你的头巾，摘下你的冠冕吧，时局转变了。要提拔卑微的，贬抑高贵的。

他们当中的首领必在黑夜背着行装出发，在墙上挖洞钻出去，而且必蒙着脸，看不见地。我必撒开网罗捕捉他，把他带到迦勒底人的巴比伦。他必看不见那地方，却要死在那里。
