The Babylonians who are attacking this city will come in and set it on fire; they will burn it down, along with the houses where the people aroused my anger by burning incense on the roofs to Baal and by pouring out drink offerings to other gods.

The armies of Babylon are now attacking this city. They will come in and set it on fire. They will burn it down. They will burn down the houses where the people made me very angry. They burned incense on their roofs to the god named Baal. And they poured out drink offerings to other gods.

The Chaldeans who are fighting against this city shall come and set this city on fire and burn it, with the houses on whose roofs offerings have been made to Baal and drink offerings have been poured out to other gods, to provoke me to anger.

The Babylonians outside the walls will come in and set fire to the city. They will burn down all these houses where the people provoked my anger by burning incense to Baal on the rooftops and by pouring out liquid offerings to other gods.

迦勒底人焚燒神的殿，拆毀耶路撒冷的城牆，用火燒了城裏的宮殿，毀壞了城裏寶貴的器皿。

我們定要成就我們口中所出的一切話，向天后燒香、澆奠祭，按着我們與我們列祖、君王、首領在猶大的城邑中和耶路撒冷的街市上素常所行的一樣；因為那時我們吃飽飯、享福樂，並不見災禍。自從我們停止向天后燒香、澆奠祭，我們倒缺乏一切，又因刀劍饑荒滅絕。」婦女說：「我們向天后燒香、澆奠祭，做天后像的餅供奉她，向她澆奠祭，是外乎我們的丈夫嗎？」

萬軍之耶和華－以色列的神如此說：你們和你們的妻都口中說、手裏做，說：『我們定要償還所許的願，向天后燒香、澆奠祭。』現在你們只管堅定所許的願而償還吧！

孩子撿柴，父親燒火，婦女摶麵做餅，獻給天后，又向別神澆奠祭，惹我發怒。」

迦勒底人用火焚燒王宮和百姓的房屋，又拆毀耶路撒冷的城牆。

「耶和華－以色列的神如此說：猶大王打發你們來求問我，你們要如此對他說：『那出來幫助你們法老的軍隊必回埃及本國去。迦勒底人必再來攻打這城，並要攻取，用火焚燒。耶和華如此說：你們不要自欺說「迦勒底人必定離開我們」，因為他們必不離開。你們即便殺敗了與你們爭戰的迦勒底全軍，但剩下受傷的人也必各人從帳棚裏起來，用火焚燒這城。』」

王就大怒，發兵除滅那些兇手，燒毀他們的城。

耶和華發怒成就他所定的，倒出他的烈怒；在錫安使火着起，燒毀錫安的根基。

用火焚燒耶和華的殿和王宮，又焚燒耶路撒冷的房屋，就是各大戶家的房屋。

你的聖邑變為曠野。錫安變為曠野；耶路撒冷成為荒場。我們聖潔華美的殿－就是我們列祖讚美你的所在被火焚燒；我們所羨慕的美地盡都荒廢。

「無論哪一邦哪一國，不肯服事這巴比倫王尼布甲尼撒，也不把頸項放在巴比倫王的軛下，我必用刀劍、饑荒、瘟疫刑罰那邦，直到我藉巴比倫王的手將他們毀滅。這是耶和華說的。至於你們，不可聽從你們的先知和占卜的、圓夢的、觀兆的，以及行邪術的；他們告訴你們說：『你們不致服事巴比倫王。』他們向你們說假預言，要叫你們遷移，遠離本地，以致我將你們趕出去，使你們滅亡。

你們若不聽從我，不以安息日為聖日，仍在安息日擔擔子，進入耶路撒冷的各門，我必在各門中點火；這火也必燒毀耶路撒冷的宮殿，不能熄滅。」
