Is Ephraim My dear son? Is he a pleasant child? For though I spoke against him, I earnestly remember him still; Therefore My heart yearns for him; I will surely have mercy on him, says the Lord.

In this manner, therefore, pray: Our Father in heaven, Hallowed be Your name.

“ But I said:‘ How can I put you among the children And give you a pleasant land, A beautiful heritage of the hosts of nations?’“ And I said:‘ You shall call Me,“ My Father,” And not turn away from Me.’

Blessed are those who mourn, For they shall be comforted.

“ And I will pour on the house of David and on the inhabitants of Jerusalem the Spirit of grace and supplication; then they will look on Me whom they pierced. Yes, they will mourn for Him as one mourns for his only son, and grieve for Him as one grieves for a firstborn.

But now, O Lord, You are our Father; We are the clay, and You our potter; And all we are the work of Your hand.

Then the lame shall leap like a deer, And the tongue of the dumb sing. For waters shall burst forth in the wilderness, And streams in the desert.The parched ground shall become a pool, And the thirsty land springs of water; In the habitation of jackals, where each lay, There shall be grass with reeds and rushes.A highway shall be there, and a road, And it shall be called the Highway of Holiness. The unclean shall not pass over it, But it shall be for others. Whoever walks the road, although a fool, Shall not go astray.

“ I will be a Father to you, And you shall be My sons and daughters, Says the Lord Almighty.”

Yes, he struggled with the Angel and prevailed; He wept, and sought favor from Him. He found Him in Bethel, And there He spoke to us—

Thus says the Lord, who makes a way in the sea And a path through the mighty waters,Who brings forth the chariot and horse, The army and the power( They shall lie down together, they shall not rise; They are extinguished, they are quenched like a wick):“ Do not remember the former things, Nor consider the things of old.Behold, I will do a new thing, Now it shall spring forth; Shall you not know it? I will even make a road in the wilderness And rivers in the desert.

Likewise the Spirit also helps in our weaknesses. For we do not know what we should pray for as we ought, but the Spirit Himself makes intercession for us with groanings which cannot be uttered.

Now I rejoice, not that you were made sorry, but that your sorrow led to repentance. For you were made sorry in a godly manner, that you might suffer loss from us in nothing.For godly sorrow produces repentance leading to salvation, not to be regretted; but the sorrow of the world produces death.For observe this very thing, that you sorrowed in a godly manner: What diligence it produced in you, what clearing of yourselves, what indignation, what fear, what vehement desire, what zeal, what vindication! In all things you proved yourselves to be clear in this matter.

The voice of one crying in the wilderness:“ Prepare the way of the Lord; Make straight in the desert A highway for our God.Every valley shall be exalted And every mountain and hill brought low; The crooked places shall be made straight And the rough places smooth;

for the Lamb who is in the midst of the throne will shepherd them and lead them to living fountains of waters. And God will wipe away every tear from their eyes.”

For this is he who was spoken of by the prophet Isaiah, saying:“ The voice of one crying in the wilderness:‘ Prepare the way of the Lord; Make His paths straight.’”

and make straight paths for your feet, so that what is lame may not be dislocated, but rather be healed.

“ The poor and needy seek water, but there is none, Their tongues fail for thirst. I, the Lord, will hear them; I, the God of Israel, will not forsake them.I will open rivers in desolate heights, And fountains in the midst of the valleys; I will make the wilderness a pool of water, And the dry land springs of water.I will plant in the wilderness the cedar and the acacia tree, The myrtle and the oil tree; I will set in the desert the cypress tree and the pine And the box tree together,

As a shepherd seeks out his flock on the day he is among his scattered sheep, so will I seek out My sheep and deliver them from all the places where they were scattered on a cloudy and dark day.And I will bring them out from the peoples and gather them from the countries, and will bring them to their own land; I will feed them on the mountains of Israel, in the valleys and in all the inhabited places of the country.I will feed them in good pasture, and their fold shall be on the high mountains of Israel. There they shall lie down in a good fold and feed in rich pasture on the mountains of Israel.

Therefore David blessed the Lord before all the assembly; and David said:“ Blessed are You, Lord God of Israel, our Father, forever and ever.

Blessed are you who hunger now, For you shall be filled. Blessed are you who weep now, For you shall laugh.

as it is written in the book of the words of Isaiah the prophet, saying:“ The voice of one crying in the wilderness:‘ Prepare the way of the Lord; Make His paths straight.Every valley shall be filled and every mountain and hill brought low; The crooked places shall be made straight and the rough ways smooth;And all flesh shall see the salvation of God.’”

to the general assembly and church of the firstborn who are registered in heaven, to God the Judge of all, to the spirits of just men made perfect,

Do you thus deal with the Lord, O foolish and unwise people? Is He not your Father, who bought you? Has He not made you and established you?

Those who sow in tears Shall reap in joy.He who continually goes forth weeping, Bearing seed for sowing, Shall doubtless come again with rejoicing, Bringing his sheaves with him.

Now therefore, our God, hear the prayer of Your servant, and his supplications, and for the Lord’s sake cause Your face to shine on Your sanctuary, which is desolate.O my God, incline Your ear and hear; open Your eyes and see our desolations, and the city which is called by Your name; for we do not present our supplications before You because of our righteous deeds, but because of Your great mercies.

who, in the days of His flesh, when He had offered up prayers and supplications, with vehement cries and tears to Him who was able to save Him from death, and was heard because of His godly fear,

And one shall say,“ Heap it up! Heap it up! Prepare the way, Take the stumbling block out of the way of My people.”

Doubtless You are our Father, Though Abraham was ignorant of us, And Israel does not acknowledge us. You, O Lord, are our Father; Our Redeemer from Everlasting is Your name.

That You may say to the prisoners,‘ Go forth,’ To those who are in darkness,‘ show yourselves.’“ They shall feed along the roads, And their pastures shall be on all desolate heights.They shall neither hunger nor thirst, Neither heat nor sun shall strike them; For He who has mercy on them will lead them, Even by the springs of water He will guide them.I will make each of My mountains a road, And My highways shall be elevated.
