猶大諸王在亞哈斯房頂屋子的房頂上所築的祭壇、和瑪拿西在永恆主之殿的兩院中所築的祭壇、王都拆毁，從那裏搬走，把灰倒在汲淪谿谷中。

城四圍共一萬八千肘。城的名字、從那天起、必稱為：「永恆主在那裏」。

拋散在日頭、月亮、和天上的萬象之下，就是他們從前所喜愛、所事奉、所隨從、所求問、所敬拜的；這些骸骨必不再被收殮，不再埋葬，就在地面上成為糞土。

『你們拈鬮分地為業時，要劃出一個特別區獻與永恆主作為一分聖地，長二萬五千肘，寬二萬肘；其四境周圍之內都是聖地。其中有作為聖所之地、長五百肘、寬五百肘，四面見方；四圍再有五十肘作為牧場之地。從所量的這塊地以內、你們要量出一塊來，長二萬五千肘，寬一萬肘，其中有聖地、是至聖的。是這地的一分聖地、要歸與聖所供職的祭司、就是親近永恆主伺候永恆主的祭司，以作為房屋的地方、與牧場和牲畜的地方。又有一分、長二萬五千肘，寬一萬肘，要歸與殿中供職的利未人、作為他們的地業，居住的城市。『你們也要分定屬城的地業，寬五千肘，長二萬五千肘，挨着那聖特別區並排着，要歸以色列全家。

他們築了陀斐特的邱壇、就是那在欣嫩子平谷中的，去用火焚燒自己的兒女：這並不是我所吩咐的，也不是我心裏所起意過的。因此你看吧，日子必到，永恆主發神諭說，這地方必不再稱為陀斐特或欣嫩子平谷，乃要稱為殺戮之平谷；因為人必在陀斐特埋葬死人，因為沒有別的地方。

我也不再掩面不顧他們，因為我已將我的靈傾注於以色列家：這是主永恆主發神諭說的。』

對他們說：「萬軍之永恆主這麼說：我必照樣破毁這人民和這城，正如人摔破窰匠的瓦器一樣，是不能再補好的。人必在陀斐特埋葬死人，因為別處沒有地方埋葬。永恆主發神諭說，我必這樣罰辦這地方和它的居民，使這城像陀斐特一樣。耶路撒冷的房屋、和猶大列王的宮殿，就是一切房屋，人在那些房頂上向天上萬象燻祭或向別的神澆奠祭的，都必像陀斐特地方一樣地被沾污。」』

他領我從駭骨的四圍來回地經過；只見在峽谷上面、極其之多，而且極其枯乾。
