The LORD has made a promise to Israel. He promises it as the one who fixed the sun to give light by day and the moon and stars to give light by night. He promises it as the one who stirs up the sea so that its waves roll. He promises it as the one who is known as the LORD who rules over all.

那使太阳白日发光，使星月有定例，黑夜发亮，又搅动大海，使海中波浪砰訇的，万军之耶和华是他的名。他如此说：

耶和华使太阳白昼发光，按定例使月亮和星辰照耀黑夜，又搅动大海，使海中波浪澎湃，万军之耶和华是他的名，他如此说：

耶和華錫日為白晝之光、定月與星為黑夜之光、翻騰滄海、使其波濤漰渤、萬軍之耶和華、乃其名也、

耶和華晝使日華照爍、夜使星月交輝、永定其例、海水澎湃、叱之使靜、厥名萬有之主耶和華。

主使日發光於晝、定月與星發光於夜、使海水洶湧、波浪翻騰、名為萬有之主、主如是云、

This is what the Lord says, he who appoints the sun to shine by day, who decrees the moon and stars to shine by night, who stirs up the sea so that its waves roar— the Lord Almighty is his name:

The Lord speaks. He makes the sun shine by day. He orders the moon and stars to shine at night. He stirs up the ocean. He makes its waves roar. His name is the Lord Who Rules Over All.

Thus says the Lord, who gives the sun for light by day and the fixed order of the moon and the stars for light by night, who stirs up the sea so that its waves roar— the Lord of hosts is his name:

It is the Lord who provides the sun to light the day and the moon and stars to light the night, and who stirs the sea into roaring waves. His name is the Lord of Heaven’s Armies, and this is what he says:

“ This is what the LORD says: The one who gives the sun for light by day, the fixed order of moon and stars for light by night, who stirs up the sea and makes its waves roar— the LORD of Armies is his name:

This is what the Lord says, He who gives the sun for light by day And the fixed order of the moon and the stars for light by night, Who stirs up the sea so that its waves roar— The Lord of armies is His name:

Thus says the Lord, Who gives the sun for a light by day, The ordinances of the moon and the stars for a light by night, Who disturbs the sea, And its waves roar( The Lord of hosts is His name):

Thus saith Jehovah, who giveth the sun for a light by day, and the ordinances of the moon and of the stars for a light by night, who stirreth up the sea, so that the waves thereof roar; Jehovah of hosts is his name:

This is what the Lord says: The One who gives the sun for light by day, the fixed order of moon and stars for light by night, who stirs up the sea and makes its waves roar— Yahweh of Hosts is His name:

Thus saith the LORD, which giveth the sun for a light by day,[ and] the ordinances of the moon and of the stars for a light by night, which divideth the sea when the waves thereof roar; The LORD of hosts[ is] his name:

Yahweh, who gives the sun for a light by day, and the ordinances of the moon and of the stars for a light by night, who stirs up the sea, so that its waves roar; Yahweh of Armies is his name, says:

The LORD, who is the inheritance of Jacob’s descendants, is not like them. He is the one who created everything. And the people of Israel are those he claims as his own. He is known as the LORD who rules over all.”

I am the LORD your God, who churns up the sea so that its waves surge. The LORD who commands armies is his name!

to the one who made the great lights, for his loyal love endures,the sun to rule by day, for his loyal love endures,the moon and stars to rule by night, for his loyal love endures,

God said,“ Let there be lights in the expanse of the sky to separate the day from the night, and let them be signs to indicate seasons and days and years,and let them serve as lights in the expanse of the sky to give light on the earth.” It was so.God made two great lights– the greater light to rule over the day and the lesser light to rule over the night. He made the stars also.God placed the lights in the expanse of the sky to shine on the earth,to preside over the day and the night, and to separate the light from the darkness. God saw that it was good.

You show unfailing love to thousands. But you also punish children for the sins of their parents. You are the great and powerful God who is known as the LORD who rules over all.

But the one who will rescue them is strong. He is known as the LORD who rules over all. He will strongly champion their cause. As a result he will bring peace and rest to the earth, but trouble and turmoil to the people who inhabit Babylonia.

So they came and woke him up saying,“ Lord, save us! We are about to die!”But he said to them,“ Why are you cowardly, you people of little faith?” Then he got up and rebuked the winds and the sea, and it was dead calm.

When you look up to the sky and see the sun, moon, and stars– the whole heavenly creation– you must not be seduced to worship and serve them, for the LORD your God has assigned them to all the people of the world.

The heavens declare the glory of God; the sky displays his handiwork.Day after day it speaks out; night after night it reveals his greatness.There is no actual speech or word, nor is its voice literally heard.Yet its voice echoes throughout the earth; its words carry to the distant horizon. In the sky he has pitched a tent for the sun.Like a bridegroom it emerges from its chamber; like a strong man it enjoys running its course.It emerges from the distant horizon, and goes from one end of the sky to the other; nothing can escape its heat.

He gave the order for a windstorm, and it stirred up the waves of the sea.They reached up to the sky, then dropped into the depths. The sailors’ strength left them because the danger was so great.They swayed and staggered like a drunk, and all their skill proved ineffective.They cried out to the LORD in their distress; he delivered them from their troubles.He calmed the storm, and the waves grew silent.

You destroyed the sea by your strength; you shattered the heads of the sea monster in the water.

Indeed, they live in the holy city; they trust in the God of Israel, whose name is the LORD who commands armies.

You established the cycle of day and night; you put the moon and sun in place.

so that you may be like your Father in heaven, since he causes the sun to rise on the evil and the good, and sends rain on the righteous and the unrighteous.

Moses stretched out his hand toward the sea, and the LORD drove the sea apart by a strong east wind all that night, and he made the sea into dry land, and the water was divided.So the Israelites went through the middle of the sea on dry ground, the water forming a wall for them on their right and on their left.

when I prescribed its limits, and set in place its bolts and doors,when I said,‘ To here you may come and no farther, here your proud waves will be confined’?

His dynasty will last forever. His throne will endure before me, like the sun,it will remain stable, like the moon, his throne will endure like the skies.”( Selah)

The waves roar, O LORD, the waves roar, the waves roar and crash.Above the sound of the surging water, and the mighty waves of the sea, the LORD sits enthroned in majesty.

May his fame endure! May his dynasty last as long as the sun remains in the sky! May they use his name when they formulate their blessings! May all nations consider him to be favored by God!

I the King, whose name is the LORD who rules over all, swear this: I swear as surely as I live that a conqueror is coming. He will be as imposing as Mount Tabor is among the mountains, as Mount Carmel is against the backdrop of the sea.

He divided the sea and led them across it; he made the water stand in a heap.

the one who made his majestic power available to Moses, who divided the water before them, gaining for himself a lasting reputation,

The LORD, who is the portion of the descendants of Jacob, is not like them. For he is the one who created everything, including the people of Israel whom he claims as his own. He is known as the LORD who rules over all.

For I say,“ Loyal love is permanently established; in the skies you set up your faithfulness.”

By his power he stills the sea; by his wisdom he cut Rahab the great sea monster to pieces.

O LORD, your instructions endure; they stand secure in heaven.

The sea looked and fled; the Jordan River turned back.The mountains skipped like rams, the hills like lambs.Why do you flee, O sea? Why do you turn back, O Jordan River?

Do you know the laws of the heavens, or can you set up their rule over the earth?

For your husband is the one who made you– the LORD who commands armies is his name. He is your protector, the Holy One of Israel. He is called“ God of the entire earth.”

People will fear you as long as the sun and moon remain in the sky, for generation after generation.

He shouted at the Red Sea and it dried up; he led them through the deep water as if it were a desert.

“ You should fear me!” says the LORD.“ You should tremble in awe before me! I made the sand to be a boundary for the sea, a permanent barrier that it can never cross. Its waves may roll, but they can never prevail. They may roar, but they can never cross beyond that boundary.”
