This is what the Lord says, He who gives the sun for light by day And the fixed order of the moon and the stars for light by night, Who stirs up the sea so that its waves roar— The Lord of armies is His name:

那使太阳白日发光，使星月有定例，黑夜发亮，又搅动大海，使海中波浪砰訇的，万军之耶和华是他的名。他如此说：

耶和華錫日為白晝之光、定月與星為黑夜之光、翻騰滄海、使其波濤漰渤、萬軍之耶和華、乃其名也、

耶和華晝使日華照爍、夜使星月交輝、永定其例、海水澎湃、叱之使靜、厥名萬有之主耶和華。

主使日發光於晝、定月與星發光於夜、使海水洶湧、波浪翻騰、名為萬有之主、主如是云、

This is what the Lord says, he who appoints the sun to shine by day, who decrees the moon and stars to shine by night, who stirs up the sea so that its waves roar— the Lord Almighty is his name:

The Lord speaks. He makes the sun shine by day. He orders the moon and stars to shine at night. He stirs up the ocean. He makes its waves roar. His name is the Lord Who Rules Over All.

Thus says the Lord, who gives the sun for light by day and the fixed order of the moon and the stars for light by night, who stirs up the sea so that its waves roar— the Lord of hosts is his name:

It is the Lord who provides the sun to light the day and the moon and stars to light the night, and who stirs the sea into roaring waves. His name is the Lord of Heaven’s Armies, and this is what he says:

“ This is what the LORD says: The one who gives the sun for light by day, the fixed order of moon and stars for light by night, who stirs up the sea and makes its waves roar— the LORD of Armies is his name:

Thus says the Lord, Who gives the sun for a light by day, The ordinances of the moon and the stars for a light by night, Who disturbs the sea, And its waves roar( The Lord of hosts is His name):

Thus saith Jehovah, who giveth the sun for a light by day, and the ordinances of the moon and of the stars for a light by night, who stirreth up the sea, so that the waves thereof roar; Jehovah of hosts is his name:

This is what the Lord says: The One who gives the sun for light by day, the fixed order of moon and stars for light by night, who stirs up the sea and makes its waves roar— Yahweh of Hosts is His name:

Thus saith the LORD, which giveth the sun for a light by day,[ and] the ordinances of the moon and of the stars for a light by night, which divideth the sea when the waves thereof roar; The LORD of hosts[ is] his name:

The LORD has made a promise to Israel. He promises it as the one who fixed the sun to give light by day and the moon and stars to give light by night. He promises it as the one who stirs up the sea so that its waves roll. He promises it as the one who is known as the LORD who rules over all.

Yahweh, who gives the sun for a light by day, and the ordinances of the moon and of the stars for a light by night, who stirs up the sea, so that its waves roar; Yahweh of Armies is his name, says:

The Portion of Jacob is not like these; For He is the Maker of everything, And Israel is the tribe of His inheritance; The Lord of armies is His name.

For I am the Lord your God, who stirs up the sea so that its waves roar( the Lord of armies is His name).

To Him who made the great lights, For His faithfulness is everlasting:The sun to rule by day, For His faithfulness is everlasting,The moon and stars to rule by night, For His faithfulness is everlasting.

Then God said,“ Let there be lights in the expanse of the heavens to separate the day from the night, and they shall serve as signs and for seasons, and for days and years;and they shall serve as lights in the expanse of the heavens to give light on the earth”; and it was so.God made the two great lights, the greater light to govern the day, and the lesser light to govern the night; He made the stars also.God placed them in the expanse of the heavens to give light on the earth,and to govern the day and the night, and to separate the light from the darkness; and God saw that it was good.

who shows mercy to thousands, but repays the wrongdoing of fathers into the laps of their children after them, great and mighty God. The Lord of armies is His name;

Their Redeemer is strong, the Lord of armies is His name; He will vigorously plead their case So that He may bring rest to their land, But turmoil to the inhabitants of Babylon.

And they came to Him and woke Him, saying,“ Save us, Lord; we are perishing!”He* said to them,“ Why are you afraid, you men of little faith?” Then He got up and rebuked the winds and the sea, and it became perfectly calm.

And be careful not to raise your eyes to heaven and look at the sun, the moon, and the stars, all the heavenly lights, and allow yourself to be drawn away and worship them and serve them, things which the Lord your God has allotted to all the peoples under the whole heaven.

The heavens tell of the glory of God; And their expanse declares the work of His hands.Day to day pours forth speech, And night to night reveals knowledge.There is no speech, nor are there words; Their voice is not heard.Their line has gone out into all the earth, And their words to the end of the world. In them He has placed a tent for the sun,Which is like a groom coming out of his chamber; It rejoices like a strong person to run his course.Its rising is from one end of the heavens, And its circuit to the other end of them; And there is nothing hidden from its heat.

For He spoke and raised a stormy wind, Which lifted the waves of the sea.They rose up to the heavens, they went down to the depths; Their soul melted away in their misery.They reeled and staggered like a drunken person, And were at their wits’ end.Then they cried out to the Lord in their trouble, And He brought them out of their distresses.He caused the storm to be still, So that the waves of the sea were hushed.

You divided the sea by Your strength; You broke the heads of the sea monsters in the waters.

For they name themselves after the holy city, And lean on the God of Israel; The Lord of armies is His name.

Yours is the day, Yours also is the night; You have prepared the light and the sun.

so that you may prove yourselves to be sons of your Father who is in heaven; for He causes His sun to rise on the evil and the good, and sends rain on the righteous and the unrighteous.

Then Moses reached out with his hand over the sea; and the Lord swept the sea back by a strong east wind all night, and turned the sea into dry land, and the waters were divided.So the sons of Israel went through the midst of the sea on the dry land, and the waters were like a wall to them on their right and on their left.

And I placed boundaries on it And set a bolt and doors,And I said,‘ As far as this point you shall come, but no farther; And here your proud waves shall stop’?

His descendants shall endure forever, And his throne as the sun before Me.It shall be established forever like the moon, And a witness in the sky is faithful.” Selah

The floods have lifted up, Lord, The floods have lifted up their voice, The floods lift up their pounding waves.More than the sounds of many waters, Than the mighty breakers of the sea, The Lord on high is mighty.

May his name endure forever; May his name produce descendants as long as the sun shines; And may people wish blessings on themselves by him; May all nations call him blessed.

As I live,” declares the King, Whose name is the Lord of armies,“ One certainly shall come who is like Tabor among the mountains, Or like Carmel by the sea.

He divided the sea and caused them to pass through, And He made the waters stand up like a heap.

Who caused His glorious arm to go at the right hand of Moses, Who divided the waters before them to make for Himself an everlasting name,

The portion of Jacob is not like these; For He is the Maker of everything, And of the tribe of His inheritance; The Lord of armies is His name.

For I have said,“ Graciousness will be built up forever; In the heavens You will establish Your faithfulness.”

With His power He quieted the sea, And by His understanding He shattered Rahab.

Forever, Lord, Your word stands in heaven.

The sea looked and fled; The Jordan turned back.The mountains skipped like rams, The hills, like lambs.What ails you, sea, that you flee? Jordan, that you turn back?

Do you know the ordinances of the heavens, Or do you establish their rule over the earth?

For your husband is your Maker, Whose name is the Lord of armies; And your Redeemer is the Holy One of Israel, Who is called the God of all the earth.

May they fear You while the sun shines, And as long as the moon shines, throughout all generations.

So He rebuked the Red Sea and it dried up, And He led them through the mighty waters, as through the wilderness.

Do you not fear Me?’ declares the Lord.‘ Do you not tremble in My presence? For I have placed the sand as a boundary for the sea, An eternal limit, and it will not cross over it. Though the waves toss, they cannot prevail; Though they roar, they will not cross over it.
