他住在巴兰的旷野，他的母亲从埃及地给他娶了一个妻子。

迦勒说：“谁能攻打基列．西弗，把城攻取，我就把我的女儿押撒给他作妻子。”迦勒的弟弟基纳斯的儿子俄陀聂攻取了那城，迦勒就把自己的女儿押撒给他作妻子。押撒出嫁的时候，她劝俄陀聂向她父亲求一块田；押撒一下驴，迦勒就对她说：“你要什么？”

看哪，利百加就在你面前，你可以把她带去，照着耶和华所说的，作你主人儿子的妻子。”

他有三十个儿子，三十个女儿；女儿都嫁到外面去，又给他的儿子从外面娶了三十个女子作妻子。他治理以色列人共七年。

“在这地方你不可娶妻，不可生儿育女。”因为论到这地方出生的儿女，和在这地生养他们的父母，耶和华这样说：“他们都必死于致命的疫症，没有人为他们哀哭，他们的尸体也没有人埋葬，必在地面上成为粪肥。他们必被刀剑和饥荒所灭，他们的尸体成了空中飞鸟和地上走兽的食物。”

于是，神照着自己的形象创造人；就是照着神的形象创造了他；他所创造的有男有女。神就赐福给他们，对他们说：“要繁衍增多，充满这地，征服它；也要管理海里的鱼、空中的鸟和地上所有走动的生物。”

示剑对他父亲哈抹说：“求你为我聘这女子为妻。”

他们给利百加祝福，对她说：“我们的妹妹啊，愿你作千万人之母；愿你的后裔，占领仇敌的城门。”

参孙上来告诉他的父母，说：“我在亭拿看见一个女子，是一个非利士人的女儿；现在请你们把她娶来给我作妻子。”

如果有人认为是亏待了自己的女朋友，她也过了结婚的年龄，而他觉得应当结婚，他就可以照着自己的意思去作，这不是犯罪；他们应该结婚。但如果他心里坚决，没有什么不得已的原因，又可以控制自己的意志，决心让女朋友持守独身；这样作也是好的。所以，那跟自己的女朋友结婚的，作得好，那不结婚的，作得更好。（或译：“36如果有人认为待自己的女儿不合适，她也过了结婚的年龄，而且应当这样行，他就可以照着自己的意思去作，让她们结婚，这不是犯罪。37但如果他心里坚定，没有什么不得已的原因，又有权作主，决心留下自己的女儿，这样作也是好的。38所以，那让自己女儿出嫁的，作得好，那不让女儿出嫁的，作得更好。”）

因此，我愿年轻的寡妇结婚，生儿育女，管理家务，不给敌人有辱骂的机会；
