他住在巴兰旷野，他母亲为他娶了一个埃及女子。

上帝就照着自己的形象造了人，祂照着自己的形象造了男人和女人。上帝赐福给他们，对他们说：“你们要生养众多，遍布地面，治理大地，管理海里的鱼、空中的鸟以及地上的各种动物。”

他求父亲哈抹为他说亲，把底娜娶过来。

并为利百加祝福，说：“我们的妹妹啊，愿你成为千万人之母！愿你的后代战胜仇敌！”

他回到家里便对父母说：“我在亭拿看中一个非利士女子，把她给我娶来做妻子吧！”

若有人觉得对待自己的未婚妻有不合宜之处，女方的年纪也够大，自己又情欲难禁，就成全他的心愿，让他们结婚吧！这并不算犯罪。如果这人心里确信自己没有结婚的需要，又能自己作主，打定主意不结婚，这样做也好。所以，与未婚妻完婚是对的，但不结婚则更好。

所以，我建议年轻的寡妇再嫁，生儿育女，料理家务，不要给仇敌毁谤的机会，
